Negative: The heaters were not working in the room snd its winter, no heater was working and we struggled with cold , it was snowing in the city and temperature dropped to -5 some nights , it was difficult

Positive: The room was attractive and very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and modern, the shower was good with plenty of hot water. The complimentary toiletries provided were really nice. Breakfast was good- a buffet style, as well as the ability to order off the menu. We ordered omelets from the menu and they were very good. The buffet offered yogurts, cheeses, fruits, breads, coffee, etc. There is an elevator so you don't have to carry luggage up the stairs. Off of the stairwells are small patios for smokers. We sleep very warm and were happy to find that we could open a window in our room overnight. There is complimentary coffee and tea service in the room with a kettle. There is also a mini-bar with several options. However, be aware that anything besides the coffee and tea you will be charged for, including bottled water. The location was close enough to Old Town that we were able to walk a very lovely scenic path each day - probably about a 20 to 30 minute walk. The hotel hosted an opera performance one evening. We had just returned from a long day and did not attend, but what little we heard of it sounded wonderful. Generally, the staff was very friendly. Cost of the room was reasonable.

Negative: Although our stay was very pleasant, there were some things that we did not care for. * There is no lounge or restaurant attached to the hotel. They do "share" a restaurant just steps around the corner, however, it was a very busy pub/restaurant and would fill up quickly so that you could not get in. We were able to eat and drink there one evening(while watching several customers be turned away) but were turned away the next because it was at capacity. There were no other options that close, so we just went without that evening. I'm certain there were other places we could have gone to, but after walking over 9 miles during the day we just wanted convenience. * The room provides a sign for your door to request cleaning services or "Do not Disturb." We always decline cleaning services until we leave, and we did that this time. When we returned to our room after a day of sightseeing, the sign had been returned to the inside of the room and the room cleaned. Although the thought was nice, we had left our belongings lying about with the expectation that the "Do not Disturb" would be respected. That was very off-putting. * Initially, the front desk clerk seemed to only want to address my husband. I spoke to her alone and directly several times after that and it improved, but I'm not sure where that was coming from. Also off-putting. * Although the bathroom in the guest room was extremely nice, it was oddly tall. I am only five feet tall, and it was slightly challenging stepping in and out of the shower. I believe it would be difficult for someone very elderly or with any sort of disability to climb in and out of the shower.

Summary: Great room, but due to the lack of a restaurant we won't stay again.
