Summary: The property was immaculately clean when we arrived. We rea;;y appreciated the well-stocked towels, sheets, and laundry detergent. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The decorating was attractive. Most importantly, it was QUIET. I am a light sleeper, and I purposely chose to be further away from the downtown Victoria area to get a quieter location. The hosts were helpful in providing pre-trip information. We were able to access everything that we wanted to using the local bus system, just as our hosts has explained. We don't like to use rental cars in areas that we are unfamiliar with. The only very minor flaws were a bedroom screen that didn't fit in the window properly and a slightly loose curtain rod in the other bedroom. We loved the area!

Summary: This wonderful cottage was absolutely ideal for our stay in Victoria. It is perfectly located near wonderful hiking trails, beaches and day trips around lower Vancouver Island. The cottage has all you could need with 2 generous bedrooms, a comfortable livingroom and kitchen. We especially appreciated the backyard to enjoy coffee after dinner. Spooky Owl is obviously well loved and tended by Marianne and Joca, and we can not speak highly enough about the cleanliness and homey feeling of the cottage. Thank you for a lovely family vacation!

Summary: Lovely rustic updated cottage. Great amenities. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the back porch for morning coffee and breakfast. Close to highways for sightseeing on the island.

Summary: Amazingly well equipped pretty home from home. Handy for Victoria but also a quiet retreat. Walk to the lake to swim an added bonus! Wonderful!

Summary: Location was amazing for the Ironman 70.3. Able to walk to the lake along the trail. Back garden was great for relaxing in and gets lots of sunshine in the afternoon. Dead quite at night and the host was amazing at replying to messages. Will book this spot again for sure.

Summary: Beautifully renovated, well-equipped unit. Stayed here with our two year old and had everything we needed. Hosts were very helpful and accessible. Very good central location with awesome trails close by.

Summary: Property was wonderful with everything we hoped for. Lovely and cosy. Whole process was really easy. 15 min drive to downtown Victoria and also butchart gardens. Would recommend to anyone needing two (really comfortable) double bedrooms, wanting to be nearby for lovely walks by the lake and close enough to drive to enjoy Victoria. We had to contact Jaco and Marianne on Christmas Day(!!!) with a question and they responded pretty much straight away and even popped round later to check on us. Highly recommended
