Cheers everyone!! 2023 is going to be our best year yet and we can't wait to share our cottage with you. This will be our 8th year offering our special place to you. We are constantly updating, upgrading and freshening up. Your home away from home! The moment you walk through the doors you will feel the beauty of the area as you look out your windows & take in the best view in Gibsons. Our luxurious yet cozy Cedar Lindal Cottage will leave you breathless with views of Howe Sound, North Shore Mountains and Keats Island. Perfect for a family get together, a girls getaway or just the 2 of you!
Our cottage can sleep up to 6 comfortably but if the kids add up to more than 6 it can always accommodate. Especially in the summer. Bring your small tent to set up on the deck and sleep under the stars. Our kids always loved this! Baby friendly with a full size sleigh crib, an adjustable high chair and a pack and play. We also have a baby gate set up at top of stairs for the wanderers if needed;) The cottage is quite baby friendly with easy walk to parks and lots inside for them to do with games, books and videos to keep them busy and give you the break you need!
The cottage is 3 full size bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms with fresh and new linens, living room with gas fireplace and french doors leading to your private 600 sq ft deck overlooking the Ocean. There is a separate TV room at ground level that is cozy in the winter and cool in the summer.
Please note the cottage is NOT air conditioned. We have fans throughout and lovely open doors and windows to nature and ocean breeze, so we have never felt the need to install. We can provide extra fans, kiddie pool for deck or possibly portable air conditioner as requested.
The kitchen is fully equipped for the gourmet chef with stainless steel appliances including gas convection oven and barbecue right outside your patio doors. There is a great selection of pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. There is always flour, sugar, spices, oils etc on hand.
There is also a full size washer and dryer downstairs in laundry room you are welcome to use during your stay.
There are fabulous hiking, biking & walking trails nearby orr simply sit and relax on your large deck overlooking the ocean and watch the boats come and go. Grab the binoculars and look for whales.
Stroll just minutes down to the Marina a buy some fresh seafood for dinner -- or simply grill up some steaks on your gas BBQ. There are several shops, galleries & restaurants just down the road from Cedar View Cottage, where you will find all kinds of treasures to take home with you. The beach with children's swimming area is just a 5 minute walk. Make sure to check out the Gibsons Public Market where you will find fresh seafood, The local Butcher, fresh produce and deli, plus local artisans and more.......Our cottage is fully equipped with ocean views from almost every room. New for 2021 is a huge covered gazebo on the deck with all brand new outdoor furniture, perfect for outdoor dining or napping in the cool shade or soaking up the sun.
Also please note, there is NO NEED to bring bottled water. The water to the cottage is fed by the Gibsons Aquifier. This is something we are especially proud of and one of the many reasons we live here.
