Summary: We had a wonderful time at Prisse-la Charriere. Jean-Luc and Catherine could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We stayed at the large gite. We found it to be very comfortable and very well equipped. There was easily enough space for a family of four and our son particularly in joyed sleeping in the mezzanine level! The pool is excellent and we spent many days relaxing around it! The Gite is also very well located and is within easy reach of La Rochelle, Niort, Saintes (with its Roman amphitheatre and Ils de Re. We especially recommend visiting Coulon. Jean-Luc and Catherine are fabulous hosts and we will definitely be back.

Summary: We enjoyed a relaxing week at one of Catherine and Jean-Luc's gîtes who are very welcoming hosts. They invited us, along with another family who were staying in another gîtes for aperitifs one evening. We even got to sample some of Jean-Luc's home-made Pineau :) The gîte is clean, well maintained and spacious. The kitchen and bathroom were modern and well equipped. Clear instructions were supplied along with ample information about the local area. We spent a lot of time by the excellent pool with the kids in the water and the parents on the loungers. The village has a Pizzeria which we went to one evening, but there are also plenty of restaurants in the neighbouring town and Niort, which is only 30 mins drive away. The nearest Supermarket is an Intermarché at Beauvoir-sur-Niort just a few minutes drive away, which is a smaller branch, but there is a large Carrefour in Niort for a wider selection. The nearest boulangerie is also in Beauvoir-sur-Niort. Excellent weather, as you'd expect from Deux-Sevres region and plenty to do nearby. We look forward to returning again soon.
