Positive: The apartement was in a traditional house of the Ardeche region with traditional furniture adding to the charme. It was very well equipped with dishes, pans, pots etc. - and a dishwasher. We had a big terrace, where we could dry our bathing clothes and enjoyed the evenings with barbecue and cold wine. Brigitte and Patrick, the owners were very helpful and gave us tipps for shopping (vine, olive oil), eating (several restaurants nearby) with nice surroundings and food for the kids, too. They even offer the opportunity to go kayaking with their canoes on the Chassezac river (32 Euros/boat at the time of writing, Transport included). On Mondays they invite all the guests to get togethers at the pool (which itself was the absolute highlight for the kids) with local beverages, some snacks and a lot of smalltalk - and they always try to communicate with all the guests, despite some language obstacles. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay there!
Negative: The houses are directly located at the N 104, with busy traffic sometimes. During the night it gets calmer, but never stops entirely. People who need absolute silence should be beware of this!
