Summary: This is a no frills stay. The shower is about 2x2. Very hard to move in there. The wifi password written in the information was wrong. Sink was extremely small. And was always running. It was extremely expensive and absolutely not worth more than $100 a night. We got ripped off. We will never return….unless the price cones way down.

Summary: Property and staff are amazing. Just be aware that there is no AC and the WiFi can be a bit spotty. Other than that, it’s a lovely space to disconnect and reconnect with nature.

Summary: The room was really warm and there was not enough outlets to plug fan next to window. One outlet was hard to reach behind bed and the other didn’t work. The property itself is beautiful. He interior was also amazing!

Summary: I loved this lodge and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants were delicious. I loved the local artist in the lobby selling their art and I loved the verandas. The only issues was it happened to be very very hot while we were visiting and the rooms do not provide A/C. This is not a place where you go to spend time in the rooms but if there was a common area that was cooled would be nice.

Summary: The public areas of the hotel was spectacular. Probably best park hotel in Glacier. Not so great, however, when you get to your personal room. To be fair, I never expect much from park hotels. You are there to experience history. But that should mean your stay should be uncomfortable. Since it was extremely hot in East Glacier I needed to open my two windows. However, there is a veranda outside of most rooms, which means that anyone walking by can see into your room. In addition, my windows looked directly into a staircase, which allowed even more traffic. Added to that, there was a bright light in view (necessary I know) that shined directly into the room. So for all this I had to keep the curtains drawn and reply on a fan for any ventilation. However about electrical outlets? There were three: one in the bathroom; one behind the bed; and one behind a desk. The bed could not be moved so I had to pull out the desk for one outlet. I needed a second so my iPad sat on the toilet paper dispenser to receive a charge. For ice I literally had to walk out my wing to the main building to get ice. I was not unhappy when the morning arrived and I could leave. Turned in my key and, of course, the clerk said nothing or asked nothing about my stay. I am now in West Glacier at a very old motel where everything is quite good. It will get 5 stars.

Summary: I understand that it’s a historical hotel and hence the wall might be thin, but our room was one door away from another room’s bathroom! The door didn’t block any sound so we could clearly hear neighbors doing their business which was extremely unpleasant. We also could hear their talking which means there was no privacy for anyone. And their light comes through door into our room when we tried to sleep. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Summary: Beautiful historic building and gardens. Our double room was rather basic with a portable fan instead of air con, and no coffee making facilities. We were disappointed that rooms appear to have been allocated on a first come, first served basis so when we arrived at 9 pm there were only 3 rooms to choose from. This is despite booking almost 9 months in advance. Breakfast buffet was good but not cheap at $26 a head; evening meal was good but some options were very pricey and there was a wait to get into both restaurants- we were given a buzzer to call us when a table was ready. There is a small shop for snacks and coffee and two gift shops.
