Summary: Great place to stay for your own little piece of the Frio river. Quiet and relaxing with all you need for a river trip. Even had a major thunderstorm during one of the nights and had no issues at all as far as staying safe and dry.

Summary: We had a great time. The description was perfect! We didn't want to cook for one of our meals, so we drove to nearby Leakey and even on a Sunday morning at 8 am we found a diner for breakfast (however, we could have easily cooked all of our meals at the camp). The property has beautiful access to the Frio. They provide tubes (we brought some but didn't even need them) and a stretch of river to swim, walk, tube, and fish. They had some great rapids and deep holes for fishing and swimming. We caught bass and sunfish and even spotted a few catfish. There was also a rocky bank to hang out by the river.

Summary: Everything was so beautiful and just absolutely amazing!! The property manager was super friendly and checked in with us once in a while but left us alone for the most part. There was even a bottle of wine for us to celebrate!!!! We will definitely be staying again sometime!!

Summary: We had a wonderful time relaxing and much needed getaway at Rio Frio Glamping. The yurt was set up so cute and cozy. The kitchen and living room tent was so cute and had everything we needed. The outhouse and shower were so clean and nice. They supplied tubes for us to float the river, had a ping pong table, BBQ pit with Charcoal and lighter, connect four game, fire pit, hammock, and everything you needed for great time. Floating the river was so nice and peaceful. We connected with nautre and had a beautiful time. Relaxation and quality time together were the goals and the were accomplished!!! I recommend everyone a stay here.

Summary: Though Texas summer heat can be brutal, this quaint place offers a refreshing reprieve. The swimming holes in Rio Frio were absolutely worth the stay.

Summary: We had the best family extended weekend celebrating my husband's milestone birthday! Loved all the little touches around the campsite, including birthday balloons. So thoughtful! The site is literally steps away from the Frio, complete with your own private spring-fed swimming hole. I booked this partly based on all the great recommendations, and it certainly lived up to it. We are already thinking about when to return!

Summary: The tents are located just steps away from the river. We went during a drought and the river was still 2-3’ at the entry point with a 6’ swimming hole just a 1 min walk up stream. Crystal clear waters. Perfect amount of shade. Private (no floaters came through the river during our stay). Comfortable beds. Ac was able to knock down the temp a few degrees during the heat of the day (but who wants to be inside during swimming hours???) and the night times were perfectly cool. Kitchen had everything we needed. It’s located just behind the owners home, but the area was fully fenced and private. Great for families but would also be romantic for couples.

Summary: What a unique spot! We loved staying in the yurt right by the river. The beds were comfy, the AC was cool, and the cook tent was well stocked. Our kids loved the ping pong table & connect four. We made great memories!

Summary: This rental is everything and more. The pictures don’t do it justice. The sleeping tent is so cool and comfortable. It was 99 outside when we were there. The cooking tent is cool too and has all the basics you need. Our kids loved playing ping pong. Leakey was in a drought and the frio river was basically not flowing due to low water levels. However, in front of this property there is a deep swimming hole that we were able to enjoy. It was nice and cool and relaxing.. Owners have thought of everything and it was so clean. Well done!!!
