Positive: Nice property, could use a little bit of renovations, nice terraces and pool, easy access and parking
Negative: We had 2 rooms for 4 people, there were no towels in one of the rooms. We could not call the front desk as the landline phone was not working. We asked the front desk multiple times for towels and they kept saying housekeeping will bring them, but we never received them. By the third try at the front desk after 2h, they gave us 2 blue pool towels, which were not great. We stayed 2 nights and did have towels in the bathroom the next day. The elevator was not working and we had to bring our luggage upstairs using the stairs, but a technician fixed the elevator 15 minutes later.

Positive: This hotel was recommended by seat61.com. Had no expectations, was just looking for somewhere close to the train station and ferry terminal. So I was truly impressed: friendly staff, incredible old building, clean and comfy rooms, good value for money and the dinner/breakfast buffets were also well worth it!
Negative: The front gate would not open: its not so accessible for pedestrians, but still within easy walking distance from Estacion Maritima and the train station.
Summary: Very charming old fashioned flair: like something from an Agatha Christie story!

Positive: It had good facilities: a swimming pool, garden, bar, and hall. The staff was very friendly. The location (Algeciras) has nothing special, but it is close to Gibraltar, and Marbella and a ferry connects Algeciras with Tanger in Morocco. The buffet in the hotel is good and cheap.
Negative: The air conditioning in our first room was not working at all and the weather was extremely hot. The technician could not solve it, and then the receptionist moved us to the only available room, which was much smaller, but at least everything worked. The cleaning was not so good: the water in the swimming pool was dirty (hair, leaves, dust) and the daily cleaning was quite bad (floor with sand, no replacement of soap and toilet paper).
Summary: Good facility and location, but with many negative points

Positive: The hotel was more or less okay. The building itself and the halls with furniture reminded me of great historical hotels, but it also felt a bit like a retirement home. The pool was nice, but it was closed at 8 p.m. The location was a bit far from the center, but it was okay with a taxi. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.
Negative: We did not get some of the rooms we requested with double beds, as those were only available if they happened to be available on that day. Some of our rooms were next to the main entrance, where lots of people were smoking right next to the window, so it was not possible to open windows and not even curtains.
Summary: Okay hotel in the area with large pool if you have to stay in Algeciras.

Positive: The room is spacious and there's everything in it, also I like the separation between the toilet and the bath. There's i nice view from the balcony we can see the port of Algeciras.
Negative: The wifi is not good if you have a meeting or you want to upload a file the debit is very slow. when i test it i found just 2MB per second.
Summary: Everything is ok, but you should work on the debit of your Wifi
