Positive: Fantastic location away from the crowds! Right on the edge of Bundala park, with over 195 different kind of birds, and plenty of monkeys, elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo etc. Ravindu is a fabulous host and he arranged an early morning bicycle bird watching tour which was amazing and in the afternoon a motorbike safari, also fab. It's a little far from restaurants but because Ravindu and his mum are excellent chefs that's no problem at all, we had dinner both days and it was absolutely delicious, great breakfast as well and he arranged our afternoon tea at the lakeside to enjoy the sunset 🙏 Room had good air-conditioneding too. 100% recommended !

Positive: The location is nestled in a small village surrounded by the bundala national park. very calm and quiet. lot of wildlife perfect for birdwatching. can see a lot of birds from the balcony. and some elephants too. went on the motorbike safari and it was a great experience, recommend it also we had the village style meals and they were absolutely delicious. and Ravindhu is a great host super friendly and always a big smile. stayed there two nights and its worth it.
Negative: nothing to not like about the place no tourist at all and just the local village ppl. an experience to understand the local culture and food

Positive: Ravindu's hospitality is second to none and his cooking is excellent.  The room itself is hotel quality - I asked if he had worked in a hotel and he confirmed this.  He even got up at 4:30am to give us a packup breakfast before we went on safari to Yala.  Glossy Lake is a birders' paradise right on the edge of one of the best habitats in Bundala national park, a large lake full of waterbirds plus the odd elephant.  There is a constant stream of birds right across from the front garden including Pied Kingfisher, Sri Lanka Swallow and Purple Swamphen. The garden isn't bad either, with Sunbirds, Flowerpeckers and Tailorbirds almost within touching distance. Glossy Lake is an exceptional experience all round.

Positive: This room is clean, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning. Nestled in a small garden, it features a lovely veranda in front and an observation deck on top. The host, Ravindu, is incredibly kind and welcoming. Ravindu prepared a delicious traditional breakfast for us. Conveniently located across from Bundala National Park, the guesthouse offers stunning views of the expansive lagoon from the observation deck.

Positive: The location was just perfect. We felt like being in the middle of nature. Cows entering the property to bring fresh milk in the morning. Endless of different all around the property. But the room was very clean and pretty much sealed towards critters. The owner did everything possible to make it a wonderful stay. Very good breakfast!

Positive: Ravindu has created the perfect place. The views over the lagoon from the private terrass, with all the birds, crocodiles, and occasional elephant, is already awesome. This place is on the edge of two connected nature reserves. You are in nature. Ravindu has an eye for details and you will notice inside and outside. The place is very complete and comfortable. The atmosphere and decoration are very pleasant. Above all, Ravindu is a kind, warm, welcoming person. Like the country really. I should not forget to mention that he is also a very good cook. Don't skip this place if you like nature and peace and quiet.

Positive: Peace and quiet here and only a couple minutes drive to see elephants in the wild. Great host, great breakfast and spacious clean room.
Negative: You’ll need some kind of transportation to get here and to travel to get a shop / restaurant because there is nothing around.

Positive: Our host Ravindu was the best. Kind, helpful and a super tour guide. After arrival he took us around to see an elifant, birds and crocodiles. Thanks again for everything Ravindu. We had a perfect time during our stay.

Positive: This is the place if you like nature! It is a birds paradise. Best place, just to sit on the balcony and watch - and Ravindu knows them all. Further more we saw: peackocks, many different storchs, crocodiles, wild boar, elefant. The room and the bathroom were spotless clean, ac and van working well. Ravindu did everything to make sure we had a great stay. If you stay there take breakfast and dinner, it is delicious! This was the best fish curry we had on our one month travel around Sri Lanka! cooked by Ravindu's mother. If you need anything else, there is a small shop just next door. Also TukTuks are available. This place is really highly recommended.
