2 Bedroom House in Whistler

Golden Hearts Retreat is a 2010 Olympic-themed condo at Glacier's Reach that has been tastefully renovated. Aprés in style from the PRIVATE hot tub w/nature views. Conveniently located w/FREE parking on the N. side of The Village, steps from the action: bars, restaurants, groceries, shopping, & yes the skiing/boarding! Never worry about a cab when you're mins walk from home. We can't wait to host your family, friends, or that special romantic getaway. Follow us: @GoldenHeartsWhistler on insta❄️
I will generally be available by text, phone, or email at all times during your stay. I can often be found performing live in one of the local hotels or bars in Whistler as a solo acoustic artist. If I am unavailable, a close family member will be on call to take care of any issues you might have!
Whistler boasts the largest ski area in North America, all within 2 hours of Vancouver's YVR international airport. Whistler Village is famous for year round fun and entertainment. Our condo is on the quiet side of Glacier's Reach, yet right across from the entrance to Village North and the Marketplace Grocery store. Starbucks and local coffee shops, banks, bars, stores, and the Olympic Plaza where the famous rings are (and where concerts are held), are all just minutes from the door. Whistler's main medical centre is also right across the street, just in case!
You'll have the entire condo to yourself. In addition to the condo and private hot tub covered patio, you'll have access to the year round shared outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi tub in the complex.
Nicer than the luxury hotels in town, this 2 bedroom condo was lovingly cared for by one family for over 15 years before I bought it with my sis and brother in-law. Beautifully renovated with with celebrity designer Sam Shakura, the space was transformed into our 2010 Gold Medal-winning themed retreat, with photos and amazing memories from winners of many countries, and celebrating an epic time in Whistler's history. This place is a long-time dream realized for us.
You can now re-live all the amazing memories from 2010 in this modern take on a rustic chalet style with beautiful laminate hardwood floors, a stone fireplace that would make the nicest hotel lobby jealous (in your own suite) - with a locally sourced live edge wood mantle, an efficient and elegant kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances for cooking and counter bar to hang out around, plus a shiplap dining table nook with an Olympic-styled 5-ring chandelier. The master bedroom is pure romance and luxury with an award-winning Sealy Posturpedic king mattress. The room also features a 55" Samsung Frame TV over an electric fireplace to set the mood and keep you warm, as well as a walk-in closet. The "2nd" bedroom is actually another master, with perhaps the most beautiful headboard in Whistler. From the same local timber yard on Alta Lake, we found this incredible piece of wood that looks like Whistler mountain. This room is flexible with two brand new and comfortable Bloom twin mattresses, that can be joined with a kit as one king bed, or separated for two twin beds, with the option to add a memory foam cot (stored in the closet, so this room can sleep 3 on single beds, although my sisters family of 4 has squeezed in here). There is also an American Leather memory foam sofa bed in the living room that sleeps two very comfortably. So for sleeping: 2 in the King Bed in the Master, 2 on the sofa bed in the living room, and then either 2 in another King bed in the flex bedroom or set up as 2 twins and a cot (in total sleeping 7 very comfortably).
WATCH THE 2010 GAMES: You can now really get into the spirit of the place and watch any or all of the events from the 2010 games, pre-loaded on our living room Samsung Frame TV!! The gold medal hockey game, the racing events at Whistler, the bobsled from the Whistler Sliding Centre, whatever you like! Very cool.
We love this vibrant complex and location in Whistler Village. It is one of only two in the village that allow private patio hot tubs. Relax in your very own private hot tub with forest views, or head over to the main shared pool and hot tub area. The open living/dining room and kitchen will let you and your friends or family relax and socialize together after a day on the slopes, trails, golf courses, day drinking in the village, or whatever adventure you're up for.
Kitchen: Brand new, high-end Kitchenaid Induction stove and low-profile microwave, Miele Dishwasher, toaster oven, Keurig instant coffee maker, as well as a drip coffee maker if you prefer to bring your own favourite ground coffee.
Laundry: Brand new large capacity Whirlpool stacking washing machine and dryer to keep up with all the layers of ski laundry and bathing suits for your friends and family. Detergent is pre-loaded so it’s touch and go!
Dining Area: Shiplap walls surround built-in seating and a custom-built rustic wood dining table and bench, we made large enough to have a proper holiday meal around!
Bathrooms: A quality hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, & body wash in EACH of the two bathrooms (save room in your bag). Both have been fully renovated, with a new primary master bathroom having a built-in rain shower, large veined marble tiles with heated Utah slate floors (pictures updated soon).
Living Room: American Leather easy pull out queen sofa bed, jaw dropping micro-ledgestone fireplace with local live-edge wood mantle surrounds a new Regency birch log gas fireplace (birch logs in basket beside are for decoration!). Enjoy the big game or watch American or Canadian news with cable and Netflix on a Samsung Frame TV, with built-in Apple TV!
Bedrooms: As described above, brand new high-end mattresses by Sealy Posturpedic and Bloom. Incredible design with pot lights illuminating the walls. The master designed with local mountain decor and the 2nd flex-master bedroom has a wood feature wall, and iconic mountain-shaped wood headboard.
EXTRA TOUCHES - these thoughtful touches will make your stay:
-Stainless steel Keurig coffee maker to start your day off right
-All pillows and mattresses have a high quality protector/encasement underneath the sheet set. The main beds have both an encasement and a top protector, in addition to the sheets.
-Wireless phone chargers on each side of the master bed - no looking around for the outlet, just lay your phone down on the pad before you sleep. Another 6 port wireless charging station in the living room for all other guests and devices.
-4K cable and TV - Netflix is included or watch the news or big hockey game (many Airbnb's do not have regular cable)
We can't wait to host your stay. Thanks for having a read and considering us for your trip!
Dave
PS: This is a themed property and there is no actual or implied affiliation with the Olympics.
PPS: if you are coming through Vancouver, be sure to check out my other very cool floating home Airbnb in North Van with views of the whole city from right on the water:

BOATING: Spending any time in Vancouver? During the summer months or with enough notice (or sometimes last minute), I offer my guests a discount on my top-rated yacht tour experience aboard the Bluebelle (a Searay 320), if you'd like to see the city by water, or spend a day dining on one of Vancouver's nearby islands. I am a fully licensed and Transport Canada certified charter captain. This is an extra service, billed through Airbnb's online payment system.
Self check in with convenient digital locks. 2 parking stalls available... and the underground parkade allows you to walk right up to our door from underneath. There are no elevators from the parkade to any level of the complex, so being so close to an easy parkade access is very convenient.
Parking garage has a maximum Clearance 6’10” (2.1m). Typically large roof cargo boxes will not fit into parkade. There is one over height stall outside by the pool.
I charge a smaller cleaning fee than just about any two bedroom place. The fee includes just the cost of the clean and laundry to get things ready for your stay, so I do ask guests to have cleaned any pots etc, start the dish washer, and take any garbage/recycling out to the recycling room on the way out. This helps me keep the fee low for you and other guests, so thank you in advance for that kindness!
Two parking spots are included with your stay if you are driving from the Lower Mainland, YVR, or across the US Border. That is no small matter as parking is very expensive in Whistler and normally not included. There are also inexpensive shuttle buses available from downtown Vancouver and YVR. Once here, you are all set with a prime spot in the North Village as described above. There are taxis, Uber, and local shuttle buses. Even though it is not a far walk through the village, there is a free shuttle right outside the door to take you to either Whistler or Blackcomb gondolas that runs every 10 minutes.

Summary: I would give Dave 100 starts if I could. The property was better than described. The location could not be better with a 3 minute walk to the village. This is easily the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in and the communication with Dave was instant. I could not have asked for a better host or property. Thanks so much for the stay and I would not hesitate to book in the future.
