Positive: The chalet exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness and amenities. It provided a comfortable and inviting space for our stay. Additionally, the serene atmosphere of the resort contributed to a peaceful and relaxing environment, which was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights of our stay was the easy access to renowned ski resorts such as Timberline and Meadows. For outdoor enthusiasts, the abundance of walking and hiking trails in the vicinity offered ample opportunities to explore the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding area. Whether it was leisurely strolls or more adventurous hikes, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Furthermore, the tranquility of the location allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the landscape. From majestic mountain views to picturesque meadows, the scenery was truly awe-inspiring esp. during late spring.
Negative: Navigating the entry process to the resort proved to be quite the puzzle. With instructions scattered across different communication channels, confusion was inevitable. The entry code was sent via SMS text, while the chalet number was buried within an email. Amidst the influx of emails from both Vacasa and booking.com, deciphering the essential details became a daunting task. Our arrival time added another layer of complexity. Arriving just 15 minutes before the front door closure at 10 p.m., and delays during our travel exacerbated the situation. Compounding matters was the fact that guest services were not physically present on-site; our only means of communication with them was via SMS text or phone calls. Attempting to request instructions via SMS text underscored the difficulty of the situation. While guest services were responsive, the process of unraveling the entry protocol proved time-consuming. Ultimately, once we managed to connect with guest services and piece together the necessary information, the entry process became more manageable. However, the initial confusion highlights the need for clearer communication channels and more intuitive entry procedures, especially for guests arriving under similar circumstances. Another hurdle we faced was the scarcity of food options upon our late arrival. With our journey stretching close to the 10 p.m., finding food for our family, particularly with young children, became an issue. Although there was one restaurant open within a five-minute walk from our chalet, our dining options were limited due to age restrictions for children. While the bar was accessible, dining in was not an option. Consequently, we had to resort to takeout, further complicating our late-night dining experience. Reflecting on this ordeal, we realized the importance of having a comprehensive checklist available within the chalet, detailing nearby dining options along with their contact information.
Summary: Comfort, serene atmosphere, easy ski resort access & stunning scenery made for a memorable getaway

Summary: A perfect retreat
