Welcome to Golden’s Blue Heron!
The Blue Heron was built in 2017, with a huge open plan kitchen, dining & living room at the heart of the main floor, this is a vacation property offering you supreme opportunities for entertaining or relaxing. There are 6 bedrooms featuring three king beds, 4 queens, two twins and one hidabed.
The spacious fully equipped kitchen, with custom cabinets and granite work surfaces has all the amenities you would expect in a luxury home including gas range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, ice-maker, coffee maker, blender and generous cooking utensils and table ware. There is a large granite surfaced central island which doubles as a breakfast bar and a separate comfy reading chair.
One private Hot Tub
Theatre room, mud room, in floor heating, double garage, additional parking, one deck and two dedicated laundry rooms.
The main gondola plaza is less than five minutes away by a short walk.
Our house has been designed with modern life in mind. The main floor is set up with a generous open plan kitchen, living and dining area. This is complemented by a large rear deck housing the eight person hot tub. There is a BBQ on the deck.
It is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing as a family group. We can also host events and provide catering services upon request, and housekeeping services can be booked for cleaning during your stay. We can also provide grocery and liquor shopping and have the house stocked with your list upon arrival.
All six bedrooms have an ensuite. Additional guests can be accommodated in the theatre room, with sofa’s and a hidabed
All six bedrooms also have their own TV & digital satellite box. There is an additional TV & digital satellite box in the theatre room as well in the main living area above the gas fireplace.
The Blue Heron has double garage with heated flooring and ample space for storage including a boot room and dryer to store ski’s and wet equipment. Further parking is available on the generous driveway.

Summary: Overall 5/5. The house and location are great if looking to be in/around Kicking Horse Village/Mountain.I would say they very much need a photographer to come on by, or just new photos. As the house is actually much nicer than the photos. Photos kind of make it look far more aged. E.g. The kitchen in this house is amazing and has everything one would need, but just kind of looks dated in the photos...The main house photo isn't great, we were there with nice snow and picturesque and all, don't know why that one they have is the main photo of the house.. long story short take new photos.. IMOClean, bedrooms and bathrooms were all spacious enough and nice, and as I said a great kitchen if you're a cooking group. Can walk to the mountain or a short 5 minute drive, so that's awesome too.The reservation process was fairly annoying/tedious. In 38 visits over the years via the bnb of the air, and vrbo, I've never been asked for guest names and DoB's, etc. of other guests/people I'm traveling with... So that was a bit odd, and just annoying/tedious in general.But, after all that, I'd still give it a 5/5, and would happily book/stay again.

Summary: Had a wonderful stay with my large group of friends and their little ones. The place was clean, well stocked, and Gabriel (property manager) and Joe’s team (cleaning staff) were responsive and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Beautiful location on the resort thats 1 minute to the Kicking Horse village base and right beside awesome cross country ski trails at the Nordic Centre. Looking forward to staying again next year!

Summary: Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and space for the kids to play. Very comfy. Just found that any noise was amplified, and t.v.s were frustrating. Would be nice to have a generic log in on all. Otherwise had a great stay.

Summary: We were visiting the area with our entire extended family for a wedding. This property did not disappoint! The home is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Plenty of space for everyone in comfortable bedrooms. The well equipped kitchen/living space gave us more than enough room to prepare meals, eat together and relax. The back porch and hot tub were perfect after our long days playing tourist! The neighbourhood is a picture-perfect, quiet retreat. We were sad to say goodbye but what a perfect place to stay while we were there.

Summary: The property was lovely and met our family’s needs with one exception. It would have been most helpful to be informed that Canada Rt 1 is closed for major construction every day from 10pm-7am! (Major job lasting years) We were 13k from the VRBO home only to be told at 11:30pm to drive back to Lake Louise and take a detour. Luckily, we filled cars with gas; detour has no services, cell or navigation. We arrived Kicking Horse Resort at 3:30 AM. 6 adults in two cars, never saw detour signs coming from Jasper on 93. Signs well marked other directions. PLEASE include note regarding the closure so no other guests have this experience!

Summary: Really enjoyed our time at the property. The accommodations (bed, bathrooms, living space) were all great. Ample room for 10 guests to enjoy themselves. Movie room and hot tub were nice touches. Would happily return!
