The home has 6 decks including a patio on the roof to capture beautiful sunrises and gorgeous sunsets. Please note that for insurance and safety purposes the top decks are closed off and must not be used. Absolutely no exceptions. The front of the home directly faces the popular Mitchell's Bay Marina. The back of the home is on a private canal with boat access to the lake (approx. 250 meters). The lake is renown for its' perch, bass, muskie fishing and waterfowl hunting. There is a beach and playground area only minutes away. The private driveway can comfortably accommodate 6 vehicles on a dead end road. Please note that the third bedroom, one bathroom and the "Man Cave" are located on the lower level which is only accessible via the outside staircase. Summary: We had an absolute fantastic time. Our experience here was great. Kate was very friendly, accommodating, and willing to share her beautiful cottage with us. The cottage came with all amenities, was very clean and exactly as advertised. We will definitely recommend it to all of our friends and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Summary: Very quaint community, friendly people, some successful shoreline fishing, home has absolutely everything you need, balconies terrific for coffee at sunrise and amazing sunsets, wouldn't recommend for smaller children, good proximity for shopping (15-20 minutes to Chatham), a couple of really good restaurants nearby.

Summary: Was very nice to stay, parks and beach are close by and was nice to be able to dock the boat right behind the house. Only suggestion would be to fill in the steel framing at the boat dock.

Summary: Walk-up to an open concept home with 2 luxurious bedrooms and a separate ground floor 1 bedroom unit with 3-piece bath. Cathedral ceiling, plenty of windows and skylights as well as an upper loft area. Well equipped kitchen, walk-in shower and bath in master ensuite (a door would be nice here for privacy). Good WIFI, satellite TV, Netflix and Blu-Ray videos. Plenty of parking on the small lot, but this Florida beach-style house has multiple balconies and sitting areas with chairs, lounges and a good BBQ. A short walk to Mitchell’s Bay marina with fantastic boating, kayaking and fishing. The local park has a basketball court and playground. Waterways in area are home to abundant fish and bird life. Kate was very helpful and showed us where to find everything we needed and how everything worked. We enjoyed a fun and relaxing visit for 2 weeks and hope to be back every summer!

Summary: This was by far one of the best vacations we have ever had. the house with all the patio decks with views of the bay and the marina the boat tied off at the patio. 5 minute walk to the beach and the ice cream store, which my grandkids made me take everyday for desert. We never left the bay the whole week and everybody wants to go back next year!! To give a score out of 10, this was a 12. We plan on going back next summer for sure.
