Emerick Cottage was built in 1913 and is set back from the road with large grassy areas for sun and several 100-year-old maple trees for shade. Lounging around the salt-water and heated pool in the warmer months is the perfect way to spend a day. The Catskill mountains views are wonderful in late fall and winter. It's a wonderful property for up to 12 people who want a great country escape with the comforts of home. The outdoor fire pit and 2.5 acre property are ideal for relaxing with family and friends, surrounded by old-growth trees.
The first floor boasts an enclosed wrap around porch. Through the front door you enter slate tile foyer with the dining room left and the living room to the right each with soaring 10-ft ceilings. At the back of the house there is the newly appointed country kitchen with a farmhouse sink, granite counter tops, and all new appliances.
Additionally on the first floor is a large bedroom with new en suite bathroom, bay window and king-size bed.
Rising to the 2nd floor you enter the media room with abundant sofa seating and a flat screen with AppleTV. This floor also has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and another with two twin beds as well as two beautifully restored vintage bathrooms, both with shower and soaking tub.
The 3rd floor offers a large open living/lounge area with two twin beds as well and a private queen bedroom.
This property is the newest addition to Bluestone Basecamp and when both houses are rented together they can accommodate up to 28 guests comfortably

Summary: The pictures do not do this home justice! It’s absolutely incredible. Beautifully decorated with antiques, charming mid century bathrooms, comfy beds, a backyard sanctuary with a huge warm pool.…and to top it all off- completely spotless! I could go on and on about how much we loved this home and our stay this weekend. Thank you for sharing your fabulous home with us!

Summary: What a great stay at this charming and well-appointed house. Plenty of space for our party of ten with charming rooms with old antiques to enjoy conversation and a drink or two. Fire pit was great for roasting s’mores and extending the evening. Proximate to a lot of great hikes and quaint towns too. Proprietors were fastidious and provided helpful suggestions. Thank you!

Summary: We had the most spectacular stay at Emerick Cottage over Memorial Day. Everything was clean and tidy, the property was superbly maintained and unbelievably well stocked for a group of culinarily-inclined gourmands. Service for 10 in the kitchen meant we never ran out of dishes, and the fire pit entertained our group for hours each night. The house was easy to find, easy to access, and felt very secure and safe, even for a bunch of city folk spending the night in the woods! Highly recommend a weekend away at this gorgeous property!

Summary: We went up to Saugerties for the holiday weekend with another couple and three combined kids. This property was perfect for us - lots of room to spread out in the house, great location with easy access to Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, and Catskill, and beautifully redone in a rustic style that was just what we were looking for in a getaway from NYC. Hosts were great and accommodating. Would highly recommend!
