This magical, private OCEANFRONT home is not only featured on the cover of both “Better Homes and Gardens Quick and Easy Decorating” and “Second Home” magazine, it is THE CLOSEST house to the Atlantic Ocean on Amelia Island.

Our 1924 luxuriously appointed and professionally decorated beach house has all living accommodations on one floor and our lower beach level deck features a large, private hot and cold shower, Adirondack chairs, hammock and lots of space for breezy lounging. The three bedrooms comfortably sleep six and we are so excited about the new soaking tub and spacious/ gorgeous new walk-in shower in our beautifully renovated completely stocked bathroom. Our dining room and sun porch invite meals and lounging with ocean views through the panoramic windows. The kitchen offers you all you need for in home meal preparation and the living room is super comfortable. The house has ocean views all over because the ocean is in the back yard, located on the wonderfully quiet and pristine Amelia Island. Everything is provided from linens and bath towels, beach towels and chairs; plus so much more. Visit our home for a week and you may find yourself wanting to stay a month.
Beaching Amenities - located on the lower deck of the house.
The beach chairs, coolers, beach umbrella AND NOW 3 bikes!!! are located in the new closet next to the shower room. There is also a chest full of beach toys located next to the closet on this level. This lower deck has a hammock and Adirondack chairs for cooling down and breezy lounging. The shower on this lower level is private and very spacious.

There is also a full laundry room to wash and dry your clothes as needed.
This lovely beach house not only soothes the soul, it is fully equipped for every need to enjoy your stay.

Summary: We have stayed at this home several times over the years and it is always such a treat to spend time here. The house has such charm and history in Amelia. It is peaceful and restful and the updates made to the downstairs porch makes for a great outdoor living area next to the ocean. You will have your own personal sandy path to the beach. The house is so close to downtown Fernandina, restaurants, shopping and Fort Clinch. The drive into Fort Clinch is a beautiful drive of a canopy of trees. We enjoyed a bike ride there this time. We are always sad to leave. Owners also provide so many amenities.

Summary: This is a lovely cottage, filled with charm and views of the ocean just steps away. So many oceanfront properties are actually a long way from the water and the view is blocked by the dunes or fences. Not so in this house! The house is well appointed and the outdoor spaces are a wonderful place to relax and listen to the waves. The new bathroom is fabulous! I've stayed at this property 6 or 7 times and will definitely return. The absolute perfect girls getaway cottage!!

Summary: This is one of the best vacation rentals I’ve ever stayed in. Location was perfect-right on the beach and a quick drive to the charming downtown. House was impeccably decorated, beds and couches were super comfy and everything you would need was supplied for you-this place is 10/10!

Summary: We had another lovely stay at Healing House! This place has become so special to our family and is now a summer tradition. The owners have done a wonderful job updating this amazing home. You absolutely cannot find a better location. Our 3 children talk about this trip all year and count the days until our next visit. It is absolutely perfect!

Summary: Truly the healing house. Best view. Best location. Gorgeous interior but leaning toward comfort. All amenities you'll need. Wish it had 2 bathrooms....but otherwise it is perfect!

Summary: This was my second time staying at this lovely home. Every detail is well thought out from the fact that while you’re showering, you can still see the kids playing in the ocean to the hammock downstairs so that when you’re having your morning coffee, you can lay and relax and listen to the waves. I walked the beach each morning for an hour just before and at sunrise. It was the most magical time! I even saw a sea turtle nest before any human had ever seen it. It was so incredible. I was able to see the tracks and find the nest before the sun even rose. On my way back to the house, the volunteers had come and found it and were marking it. They said it was third best of season. I saw deer tracks and pellets one morning walk and a bunny in dunes behind cottage. I could not have enjoyed myself more and our children made the downstairs hammock area their playground. I wish I could live here every day. Thank you for sharing your home.
