This newly renovated home is located just 10 mins from downtown Cortland, 8 mins from Greek Peak Mountain Resort, 25 mins from Cornell University, 30 mins from Ithaca and 35 mins from Syracuse in a quiet and friendly neighborhood with gorgeous trails in Hoxie Gorge State Forest just down the road. This spacious home is perfect for graduations, wedding parties, and anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!
This cozy and spacious house sits just in front of a scenic, flowing creek which can be viewed from the beautiful porch in the fenced-in backyard. The first floor of the house features 2 separate sitting areas to accommodate everyone in your group, a newly-renovated and fully stocked kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, an eat-in kitchen, and dining room filled with natural light. There is also a master suite with a full bathroom, another bedroom and half bath on the first floor. The second floor features 4 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Each bedroom has a closet and is equipped with bath towels and linens.
Please do not smoke inside the house or garage.
High-speed wifi is available throughout the house and cable is provided in living room with Rokus equipped with Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Prime video.
Guests will be able to access all spaces with the exception of an upstairs bedroom which will be locked. There are 7 bedrooms total in the house, so guests may use 6 bedrooms total.
Guests will also be able to use the private pool as long as the waiver has been signed.
I live in the area so I am available to answer any questions and to help with any issues if needed.
In the winter months, I may need to stop by during your stay to maintain the pellet stove for your comfort.
In the summer months, I may need to stop by during your stay to maintain the pool - but is usually done very early in the morning or late at night so we don’t interrupt your pool fun!
There is a $225 cleaning fee for the stay.
We can also set twin sized air mattress if an extra bed is needed!
There is only parking for 3 vehicles so please plan accordingly! If weather permits - more cars may park in the lawn (please inquire if you plan to have more than the allotted number).
We also do not provide beach towels, so please bring your own if you plan to use the pool. The pool is also not heated.
Pool will not be opened and ready for use until mid June. Please inquire for details.

Summary: We stayed here for move-in for our Cortland freshman with another family who's daughter was moving in. The house is in a great location, 10-12 minutes from campus. It is very big and all of the beds were comfortable. Its a beautiful property with lots of room. The pool was cloudy but it had also just rained a lot. Overall it was a great experience.

Summary: The house was amazing and had everything we needed. Kids had so much to keep them busy when we didn’t have a game. It was in a nice tucked back area that was quiet. We enjoyed the pool and patio. Plenty of space.

Summary: There were 16 of us total and with a couple of air mattresses we had plenty of space and found the house to be comfortable. For example, at night we were able to put little kids to bed upstairs and be as loud as we wanted downstairs without concern for waking up the little ones. Loved having the creek and the pool to entertain us. Lovely location (although there was some highway noise from nearby 81). The house was very clean (quite different from previous review from another renter). The only criticism...there were several aspects of the home that need upkeep. To name a few examples: top rack of the dishwasher was broken, microwave door is starting to come undone, several chairs felt close to collapse, pockets on the pool table have holes in them. None of this prevented us from using said items but it did create some concern that we might break something that should probably be fixed/replaced. To be clear tho, we enjoyed our stay at this property!!

Summary: This house is amazingly large - even bigger than the photos suggest, and well furnished. Open plan for common areas, beds are comfortable, huge kitchen. Outdoor deck alongside gorge stream. We didn't use pool as it wasn't open yet. Excellent WiFi. Communication with host was top notch. It was perfect size and functionality for our group. Quiet, scenic location with adequate parking. So, why not 5 stars? Although the rest of the house was spotless, the kitchen was not. There were food splatters and crumbs in and on appliances, and dishes and glasses were dirty. Refrigerator was full of leftover food - half-finished beverages, decaying fruit and vegetables, near-empty condiment bottles, etc. filling two of the three shelves and the entire door. The shelves themselves were dirty. Very disappointing given the rather high cleaning fee. There are other maintenance issues around the house. There was a wheel broken off the upper dishwasher rack, and the whole machine tilted when racks were pulled forward. Dining room chairs were wobbly (a simple fix with a screwdriver). There were several uncovered outlet boxes. Many kitchen cupboards had loose handles or doors. There were barely enough glasses, dishes, utensils etc. for a group of 8, let alone 12. Some ceilings have peeling paint and stains indicating water leaks. Hidden key access means previous guests can get back in, so not ideal for security. We'd definitely return if the above issues were addressed.
