Positive: From my vast experience staying in guest houses, nothing I write is personal; it’s based purely on my observations. I had the place to myself, meaning no other guests, though the family was downstairs, which didn’t bother me at all. In fact, it gave the place a more homely feel. The room and its design were good. The kitchen was spacious enough, as was the bedroom, offering a comfortable environment for my stay. The kitchen was adequately stocked with pots and pans, although some were not as clean as I’d expect. While this isn’t strictly the host’s fault, a quick check between guests would ensure everything is in order. The pan lids, for anyone needing them, are on the left side of the cupboard above the sink. Towels were supplied and regularly exchanged, which was a nice touch. I must mention that they have the most adorable dog, which added a warm, welcoming feel to the place. The host’s son and daughter were very polite and spoke English fluently, which made communication much easier. The family is clearly kind-hearted, and with just a few adjustments, this guest house has the potential to be a great spot for travellers. Despite some minor issues, I did enjoy parts of my stay. The homemade mushroom soup I was offered was delicious and highly recommended. The atmosphere overall was peaceful, and with a bit more attention to small details like heating, water pressure and WIFI it would be a truly excellent experience.
Negative: I am sharing my honest thoughts and hope this is taken as advice for improvement rather than criticism. The hosts were nice, and I appreciated their hospitality, especially the homemade mushroom soup, which was delicious and highly recommended. I understand it can be challenging having guests in your home, so I respect their approach. The house itself was cosy, though at times it felt a bit cold. While the radiators were available, they weren’t always on. There was a wood fire in the kitchen, but it didn’t quite warm the room I was staying in. I’m used to warmer climates, having lived in places like Australia and Thailand, so this might be something for guests to consider based on personal preference. The shower was another area where I experienced some difficulty. I let it run for quite some time before it warmed up. The water, however, wasn’t quite warm enough for shaving, and there was no plug for the sink, which would have been useful. The water pressure could have been stronger, but I understand this might have been affected by recent floods in the area. Although I requested firewood a couple of times, I wasn’t able to get any. I found some wood in the garden, though it was wet, but I managed to make it work. The WiFi signal in my room was weak, likely due to the thick walls of the house. It might help to install a signal booster to improve connectivity in the guest areas. Overall, with a few small adjustments, this place could be a truly lovely spot. The family is friendly, and they have the sweetest dog that adds a homely touch to the experience.

Positive: As I heard from the Host the facility was adapted from an old inn so not everything is 100% straight however it's not easy to find a house with big stone tails on the floor etc. The house has it's unique climate - some people will love it, other - not.
