Positive: Good location, clean and renovated facilities, and friendly staff. Would stay here again. Also great, they provide an airport service! Loved that it was overall very quiet, with no drunk people or anything like that, unlike in other places.

Negative: Water in the shower could be a bit hotter for my taste.

Positive: Location's not bad, there isn't a huge amount to do at the hotel itself, but there's a restaurant, plus the resort across the road is a good place to go for a drink/feed. Room was clean, bed comfortable, A/C works very well - this is important, thumbs up.

Negative: Rooms are not in any way noise proof (in fact they're basically flat pack rooms assembled inside the shell of the building. That was fine, as the other guests weren't noisy, but be aware if they are, you'll hear it (worst I hear was clattering around in the hallway and every word of the conversation out there, so perhaps between rooms the soundproofing is better). Despite advertising free airport transfers both ways, neither were provided. They did arrange for the transfers, but charged a fee - fine, it was around $25 and petrol is expensive atm, hard to argue with that (although advertising free then charging is still poor). What they failed to tell me is that this didn't incude the return, which was pretty awkward as I had no cash to give the driver, through no fault of either of us (thankfully there is an ATM at the airport, so it was easily rectified, but a bit embarassing). First world problem and I don't even care about having to pay for it, just be transparent - the airport shuttle isn't free.

Summary: Ok location, clean/comfy room - misleading info re airport shuttle; not free, despite the listing.

Positive: The hotel is in an old building, but rooms inside are newly renovated. While a little rough around the edges, the room was very comfortable with 2 large beds, good aircon, wifi, and a nice bathroom with plenty of amenities provided. Airport transfer was easy to organise and was on time for pick up and return to the airport. Good location near centre of town. Most things within a 10 minute walk. There was no construction or noise during my stay.

Negative: A bit expensive, however not unreasonable given the newly renovated rooms and the state of other hotels in Honiara. My main issue was that there may have been a rat in my room. I ate half of my breakfast sandwich (included breakfast) then went out for the morning. When I returned to my room at midday something had eaten part of the leftover sandwich....

Summary: Newly renovated hotel conveniently located in centre of Honiara.

Positive: We were pleasantly surprised by the service offered by this hotel. After reading some bad reviews, we were not sure what to expect. But we had a good stay. The rooms have been newly renovated and they are quite spacious. The ladies at the reception were very friendly and helpful. And unlike some other hotels in Honiara, Grace hotel provides free WiFi in the rooms too. So, all in all, we were happy with our stay.

Negative: Whilst we were happy that the breakfast was included, they need to improve on the food served. Some eggs and toast with fruits would have been sufficient.
