Positive: Excellent location in Valletta with lots of cafés/bars nearby. The area was quite noisy in the evenings (especially nearest to the weekends) but consistently died down before around 23h30. Very spacious room. We were three guests but got four beds.

Negative: The cleaning service started much earlier in the day than expected. Could help to mention this to guests upon check-in. Access to the hotel was not a problem for us but could be for less mobile guests (lots of stairs outside, etc.)

Summary: Spacious rooms in a lovely and lively part of Valletta.

Negative: Smell of damp in the hotel lobby and lift Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor everytime you used it.. had to use most of the towels for the floor Noise from the cleaners very early on the morning

Positive: Location was great, we stayed due to location beside the fast ferry to Gozo (it was a 5 minute walk). P.S, don't book fast ferry if the sea is choppy at all, all of us were very sea sick, there were no open windows on the boat, sit near the back if possible, apparently it is worse up at the front of the boat. The room was big and also clean. The rooftop seating area was lovely and overlooked the harbour and 3 cities on the other side. The room had a large traditional style Maltese balcony which was nice to sit in while waiting on the others to wake up.

Negative: It was a good hotel for the length of the stay. Breakfast was basic, but still a range on offer (hot food, fruit, toast and pastries. I had seen water at breakfast and went down to top up my water bottle, but breakfast had finished. I asked the receptionist if she could fill the bottle and she was a little rude when asked. She said no, that I could fill it in my room or buy a bottle from the bar. The sink in the room had a very low tap, definitely not tall enough to fill a water bottle from and the only other option was to fill it in the bath which I did not do. I bought a bottle of water when we got to Gozo as I had a half full bottle to get me there.

Positive: Our room was on the second floor with a fantastic view to the harbour. Bed was very comfortable. I loved that there was a small enclosed verandah with windows, you could watch the boats and the fireworks at night where buildings were lit up.

Negative: Everywhere in Malta were steps, showed how unfit we were.

Summary: Lovely place to stay, a small fridge would make it perfect
