Welcome to Grand Vista in mid-coast Maine! Enjoy panoramic water views throughout this gorgeous 2-story, New England Dutch style home. Each floor has a large open living area and kitchen. It is a perfect set-up for 2 families or for those looking for extra space. There are dramatic floor to ceiling windows, loads of natural light and the highest quality construction and finishes. There is great outdoor space featuring a covered patio and large fire pit. Situated on 5 park-like acres, you enjoy this perfect central location is near all of mid-coasts best towns and attractions, such as Boothbay Harbor and Maine's Prettiest Village, Wiscasset.
Grand Vista is managed by Chill Vacation Rentals, a small, local company who is attentive to your needs and is available 24/7 in the unlikely event that you need assistance. Grand Vista, like all of our properties, is in excellent and has crisp sheets and fluffy new towels.
With spa-like baths and luxury linens and duvets and cozy towels and new furnishings, you'll be able to relax and rejuvenate in luxury and comfort.
*There is a small guest house that is about 75 yards from the main house. If you have a larger party, you can rent both together. Each has it's own separate parking area, and outdoor space and there are plantings between the houses. Please note that this is a rural home and some birds have made their nests in our covered patio. Although we do our best to keep that area clean, the birds have other ideas.

Summary: The location of this property was perfect! It was convenient to Portland, Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta and more. The downstairs bedroom was not an en suite...you had to go out of your room to get to the bathroom, in full view of the living areas. One of the bedrooms upstairs was a Primary Suite which was very roomy, but the bed was only a full size. The other upstairs bedroom was small, with no bath. There was a Powder Room, 2nd Living Room and Kitchenette but it was space that could have gone into making the other Bedroom an en suite. The main Kitchen had a fabulous stove, but no workspace at all. We were a group of six and we cooked dinners,so it was quite hard for more than 1 person to be in the Kitchen. Overall, though, it was a wonderful stay. It was very clean and had lots of places inside and outside to enjoy the sunsets!

Summary: Our family of five absolutely loved this rental. My husband commented that it was probably the cleanest and prettiest house we’ve rented in Maine to date … and we travel a lot. My soon-to-be college freshman took the downstairs bedroom, while my middle son floated between the Murphy bed downstairs and the convertible ottoman upstairs - both very comfortable. My youngest took the second bedroom upstairs closer to our room - which was stunningly beautiful. I’m going to miss this place and can’t wait to make plans for next year.

Summary: This is the perfect place to stay if you are traveling as a large group with an infant. The house is quiet and there are two kitchens. The property manager, Pam, is very professional and responsive. When our group ran into issues with checkin and insect bites she promptly sent Stewart over who cares for the property. They were both very kind and easy to work with. We would definitely stay again.

Summary: Grand Vista certainly lived up to the description given. Wonderful vista views, well appointed home- everything we required for our annual girls getaway. Any questions we had were promptly answered and dealt with by Pam. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do - botanical gardens, Farnsworth Museum, and Boothbay Harbor with many shops and restaurants. We would recommend this beautiful restful home to anyone wanting to stay in this area of Maine.

Summary: The house is just stunning, and it is situated in a beautiful setting. The location is very close to the best lobster shacks around, 2 to choose from, delicious. (We tried them both). Very close to Boothbay Harbor with great shopping, restaurants and kayaking. Pam has put together an informative notebook with sites to see and things to do which was very helpful. She was attentive and responded immediately. The house was immaculate and had lots of room. The room air conditioners were helpful on the night it was very warm. Otherwise we did not have to use them. We had a fun and relaxing time and would love to return. Thank you Pam!
