Located in a quiet rural cul-de-sac in Harford County's farming community, this gem sits above a 7-acre lake amongst beautiful, wooded scenery. Grande View 1 is a newly built and furnished apartment with queen bedroom, full bath, kitchen & laundry as well as the ability to control heat and air. Lake access is a short walk through one of our three wooded trails from the house. Full 365-degree access to the lake for fishing, kayaking and birdwatching is available.
The space
Grande View 1 entrances into a large full kitchen / living room with granite countertops and large bay window facing 7 acre Lake Mitten. a hallway off the kitchen takes you to a bedroom with a spa feel. Another short hallway takes you to a large laundry closet with small utility tub, washer, dryer and shelving. Across from the laundry is a walk in closet with hangers. At the end of this hall is our beautiful full bath, marble countertop and large double sized tiled shower with full glass front. The bathroom has heat lamp, fan and is stocked with our fluffy white towels, soaps and shampoo (2 day supply).
Guest access
Guests will enter with a keypad code directly into Grande View 1. A door in the kitchen which connects to owners private space is locked. The accessible areas include the entire suite (kitchen/living area, bedroom, closets, full bath and laundry as well as the entire yard and lake area. Lake guidelines are provided in our guest book found in the suite.

Summary: Just completed a two week stay here while working at APG. Accommodations were complete and very well thought out. Toiletries and laundry / cleaning supplies were all on board and instructions made getting things done a snap. Stay included access to the community's Lake Mitten (private) and on a chance meeting with some of the residents found them friendly and polite. It was therapeutic 40 minute commute to the APG gate through very scenic HarCo roads with NO traffic, even at peak hours. Against the convenience of a much shorter back and forth in the Aberdeen area, this pristine place to stay is a hands down, without a doubt better place to stay. Plus Stephanie was great to work with. I'm keeping a bookmark on this one - one of the best VRBOs I've gotten to stay at... and I've stayed at quite a few. CHEERS and hope this helps make decisions to stay here!

Summary: The area was modern with great amenities. I appreciated the ability to make the area comfortable for myself and the binder with the instructions for all the appliances and amenities. However, it was a little frustrating that I wasn’t sent the keyless entry code before check-in (Check-in was at 3, and I arrived at the location at 4:15.). The host kind of forgot I was coming (Her explanation was “this was her usual non-booking time.”). She also thought I booked through AirBnB, and she started giving me instructions for the wrong room… But once this part was corrected and I got access to the correct room, everything else was fine.

Summary: We were going back to our hometown for several activities over the weekend. The home is beautiful and off course I think Harford County Maryland is the most beautiful place on earth with it's rolling hills. The property sits on one of those rolling hills and there is a small lake in the back of the property that was enjoyable to walk around. The apartment was beautiful and exceptionally clean. There is nothing negative to say about the place. Next time we go back to visit family and friends we will always try to stay here. Thanks to the owners for offering such a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to stay. God bless!

Summary: Only wished we had more time and better weather to enjoy the lake. But that aside, the rental was impeccably decorated, very clean, has high end appliances, very nice linens and starters of all the essentials. The only problem we encountered, which was very minor was the outlets at the sides of the bathroom sink did not work. A text to Stephanie was responded to very quickly and problem was resolved with a flip of a breaker. My husband was skeptical about staying at a rental apartment that was the lower floor of the owners home. He quickly changed his feelings once there. You never knew anyone else was living upstairs. Very quiet! The separate entrance was easily accessible and well lit. Would definitely stay again. Thank You!!
