This tastefully decorated cottage is built of imported Canadian cedar and is comfortable and cozy in any season. The peaceful location is ideal, as the property backs up to Deschutes County Wilderness. As a result you may well experience the local wildlife--deer, elk, grouse, etc--wandering through at their leisure! Also, the Deschutes River is a short walk (300 yds) behind the house and to the left.
The real river-rock fireplace and vaulted cedar-lined ceilings give the cottage a distinct 'mountain home' feel. One master suite upstairs and one down, it is the perfect getaway for those who desire to relax in peaceful surroundings with the extra spaciousness that 1,800 sq ft offers. For those with the need to stay connected while on vacation, dedicated work space and WiFi is provided, along with an HP printer/copier/scanner.
Located just a 10 min drive to the bustling resort community of Sunriver, all amenities are available there such as grocery store, fine restaurants, shopping etc.
Activities available at Sunriver include bicycling, canoeing, horseback riding, fishing or golfing. And Old Town Bend, with its many fine restaurants and major shopping malls, is only 20 minutes away.

Summary: This was a perfect house for us. It was close to Sunriver (where my daughter lives) and it was so quite and peaceful. The house was well stocked and had such a cozy and comfortable feel to it. We enjoyed everything about this house and the owners were very helpful and responsive. I would love to stay here again!

Summary: We booked this cottage for some solitude in woods without being on top of your neighbors like some of the vacation condos. You have a pine forest right out the back door which leads to the Deschutes river. We also loved the proximity to all of the hiking trails in Deschutes National Forest and to Bend. This is you second home as you'll have everything you need and a modern kitchen for cooking meals at night. I loved the views of the property from the breakfast table in the morning. Regan was very responsive to communications and provided clear instructions for check-out. We'll definitely book this cottage again for our next trip to Sunriver.

Summary: In the area to see Bend and Deschutes river attractions? Be sure to book this property as it is a prime location. Literally walking distance to the river (great for swimming/kayaking etc) and a great wooded lot. Very quiet, comfortable, and clean. The house is stocked with everything you need to grill/cook out for the entire family. Regan was super awesome, a really cool guy, and very accommodating in every way. Check in was smooth and seamless. Felt very welcome. Internet is fast and reliable. Would stay longer if we could...

Summary: Close to trails and the river. The home had everything you need to create meals and offer comfort. We had our Rat Terrier with us and she loved the open spaces.

Summary: and a big contributing factor was the way this home was totally set up like home. We felt like we were guests of the owners, not a vacation renter. We were there from Christmas through New Years, and enjoyed all the outdoor activities this area has to offer, but the best part was when day was done, we felt like we went home! As we were without a home of our own this year, this getaway filled that empty space. We look forward to a return visit.

Summary: My husband and infant son and I stayed at Snow Goose Cottage this past weekend and had such a wonderful time that we can't wait to go back. We loved the escape from the city and the quiet surroundings, but also the fact that it was a relatively short trip to Sunriver or Bend for food, shopping, etc. The National Forest right next to the home was ideal for walks with our dogs to the nearby river, and next time we'll be prepared for biking and running on the glorious trails. We have never rented a home so well-equipped. In fact, we brought our bag of 'usuals' that we throw in when renting a house; oil, some spices, and a few other dry goods, plus the implements we know we want, and never had to open it up! There was hot cocoa and popcorn, teas and a good coffee maker, and plenty of logs for a nightly fire. The owners were very accommodating and genuinely wanted to be sure we had a good experience. We highly recommend this home, and we will be back!

Summary: My significant other and I had a wonderful 2-week stay at Snow Goose Cottage. The cottage is located in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood, and it's a short drive to all the amenities Sun River has to offer, and a 20-minute drive to Bend. We loved the peaceful setting, and all of the wildlife (mule deer, squirrels, birds) that came to visit every day. The house was completely stocked with everything you could possible need for entertaining or relaxing. The owners were very easy to work with, and very accomodating. We loved coming back every night after exploring Central Oregon, knowing we'd have a tranquil and comfortable place to relax after being on the road all day. Neither one of us wanted to leave when our 2 week stay was up!!

Summary: Our summer vacation in Central Oregon was memorable because of our experience with Snow Goose Cottage. The house was perfectly situated, walking distance to the Deschutes River, close to SunRiver and Mt Bachelor, and a mere 20 minutes to downtown Bend. Snow Goose Cottage is well-stocked and homey. The pictures of the home are accurate; the home is clean and well-maintained. The two bedrooms were well-appointed with lovely furniture and comfortable beds. The owners provided lovely soaps and fluffy towels in all three bathrooms. And! A washer-dryer too! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at "home" and BBQ too. It was like walking into a welcoming friends' home; a friend who provided everything we needed for our vacation. We also loved watching a Mama Deer and her twin fawns every morning. Thank you Wickhams, for providing an excellent home for our vacation.

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at Snowgoose Cottage. The description and photos were all spot on - the cabin has everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. It was spacious and the owners did a great job at providing both basics and some extras to make it an even nicer stay, such as firelogs and popcorn. The living room is really cozy with the large fireplace and big windows looking out into the woods. The location is convenient for skiing at Mt Bachelor and for exploring Bend, all while being on a nice quiet street. The owners were very friendly and responsive via email. We would definitely recommend the cabin to others.

Summary: We had such a wonderful time at Snow Goose. The house was cozy and comfortable and well-equipped. We enjoyed a couple of cook-outs in the well equipped kitchen and chilled out at the cozy corner of the second floor with a wide array of movies. The bathrooms and laundry area were all very well kept. For nature lovers, the cottage is not far away from multiple trails and beautiful sights by car. The great thing about it the location too is that it's very near to the very classy Bend with artsy bakeries, coffeeshops, restaurants and shops (We loved it)! The owners have surely taken care and thought of every need of the visitors. We had a beautiful home away from home experience and certainly hope to return again some day (we've been talking about it!).
