Positive: I travel a lot and Guest House Luna will always be memorable for me. The room is comfortable, as is the king size bed. The bathroom is spacious. The shared outdoor area has magnificent views across the valley to the mountains. Luna's breakfasts and dinners are plentiful, healthy and delicious. She is very friendly, a beautiful soul & is incredibly hospitable. Here you will experience Albanian hospitality at its finest. I didn't have any issues with the drive up or parking but inexperienced drivers may. Don't let it put you off staying though, the outlook is worth it.

From the very beginning, her helpful video directions made finding the home easy, and her guidance with local bus routes and recommendations made exploring the city simple and enjoyable. What truly sets this stay apart is the hospitality. Mama Luna goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and her home-cooked meals are outstanding. Every detail reflects genuine care, kindness, & love. This is an easy 10/10 for us. If you’re visiting the city and want incredible views, warm hospitality, and a memorable stay, this is absolutely the place to be.

Positive: This is by far the most wonderful experience that ive had while traveling and i strongly recommend it to everyone who wants a taste of the city traditions but also connect with some of the most lovable and hospitable people. I found this place randomly on google while searching for a fair price but it was definitely worth more. The house is far up close to the castle and pazar with amazing views of the whole city. The road is suitable for cars and theres private parking in the house . The bedroom was very comfortable, clean with plenty of room and the breakfast of course delicious and prepared by the hostess herself. I took with me a little handicraft plushie made from Luna and a lot of warm memories.

Positive: Mama Luna is amazing! Never been to such a heart warming and cozy place. Mama Luna made excellent Dinner and Breakfast for us and took care of everything. Everyone who is looking for an authentic accomodation and is open to stay at peoples home should not miss this place. One of the best experiences we had in Albania. And we definetly wanna come back. Positive: Thanks so much for the possibility of staying at your lovely home. The dinner at Lunas terrace is a highlight... my personal recommendation. Don't forget... it is a very old town at a spectacular hillside. The house is very much on the top with an amazing view. Even with navigation, the way towards the house is a bit complicated through small and narrow pathways. They are providing a video showing the proper way to the house... please follow these instructions! The way back was much easier... our host was coming along with his car and guiding us through the old town. It seems to be very close to the city center... but don't underestimate the altitude. The way is very steep, but of cause with breathtaking views on the city and the valley.

Negative: The whole city is maybe complicated for people who are not good on their own feet.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay with Fiqo and her family. The accommodation was easy to find because we received very good directions. We were glad we chose this accommodation, as many roads are quite adventurous, but this road to the accommodation was easy to drive. We were also able to park the car right in the courtyard of the house. We were allowed to check in around noon and received a very warm welcome, as if we were visiting good friends of family. The accommodation has everything you need and was spotless clean. Very comfortable bed, a large private bathroom with a good shower, a refrigerator, and plenty of space. The air conditioning works great and is very quiet. We slept very well. It is only a 15-minute walk to the castle and not far to the bazaar through small alleys, a very nice walk. The way back is uphill, but it wasn't too difficult. The father would have even picked us up from the lower level for free, but we enjoyed the walk. We had a wonderful meal on the terrace in the evening with a wonderful view over the city. Cooked with so much love, it was the best chicken I've had in a long time. You should definitely try it. Everything else was simply delicious too. It's hard to find anything like it. In the morning, there was a wonderful breakfast with everything your heart could desire. But it wasn't just the great food, but also the positive energy of Fiqo and her mother that made our stay so special. It was lovely to meet them, and we will definitely come back. If you like to get to know the people and their traditions while traveling, this is your place.

Positive: Where to start? Everything about our stay here was perfect. Fiqo and her family were so incredibly welcoming, kind, and generous - it's very much a home from home. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, as was the bathroom, and we were able to park within the property. It is a short walk to the castle and city centre, but out of the main hustle and bustle for a peaceful stay. It is up a pretty steep hill, so if you have mobility issues you may want to drive down into town, but this is possible. The payoff for the steep hill is the view from the balcony Looking out over the mountains - stunning! The view is Made even more enjoyable by FANTASTIC home cooking - and plenty of it! We chose to eat at the property both evenings as the food was SO good, and breakfast was included in the price. All the food was traditional to the region and locally sourced, with many of the fresh fruits grown on the property and home-made jams, etc. even in the afternoon when we chose to sit outside and relax after a morning on the city, water, tea, and fresh fruit kept appearing on the table! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend guest house Luna, it was more than just a place to stay, it was an authentic Albanian experience. Thank you to our hosts for making us feel so welcome!

Positive: 📍 The location is perfect—not too close to the busy areas, so it’s peaceful and quiet at night, but still within walking distance of the main attractions (just a 10-minute walk to the castle). 🛏️ The room is spotless and very comfortable. All the essentials are provided, and you could tell that the hosts take great care in preparing and maintaining the space. The dining room is also beautifully decorated. 🫕 And the food is good—a delicious and generous breakfast is included in such price! The hosts confirmed our breakfast time in advance and prepared everything fresh. Dinner is also available and just as tasty! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 Most importantly, the host family is absolutely lovely. Their daughter Fiqo speaks fluent English and responded quickly to our messages. She gave us clear directions and was super helpful. Her father helped us with parking, and her mother welcomed us with homemade sweets and mountain tea. Such a warm and unexpected welcome! Throughout our stay, the whole family was kind, generous, and always willing to help. And special thanks to the beautiful and sweet hostess, Hena, thanks for your small gifts and soooo many kisses—you truly made us feel like part of the family! 😘😚 🥰 In short, everything is perfect. Guesthouse Luna was definitely the highlight of our trip in Albania. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and heartwarming place to stay! 😍
