Positive: Keti was an exceptionally welcoming host, and it was a real pleasure meeting her, her husband Alex, and their two sons. Keti is a wonderful cook. She prepared delicious homemade breakfasts for us on both mornings, and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My wife, our two children (aged 11 and 12), and I stayed for two nights. The area is wonderfully quiet at night, so we slept very well. There is convenient parking right in front of the house, which made travelling by car completely hassle-free. From there, it takes only 10-15 minutes by car to reach the main attractions on the eastern side of Lake Ohrid. Despite the summer heatwave, the fresh mountain air, the abundance of oxygen, and the soothing sound of the nearby spring-fed stream made our stay incredibly relaxing. It was a peaceful place where we truly felt refreshed and created wonderful family memories. If there was one regret, it was that we hadn’t planned to stay longer.

Negative: I genuinely can’t think of a single thing we didn’t like about our stay, even if I tried.

Positive: Everything was better than these images. The property is perfect for your summer vacation, if you’re in love with clean air, quiet night and comfort above your limits. The hosts were the best you can imagine, you will feel better than home, with the most traditional breakfast, eggs from their own pasture chickens and the sound of the river and the mountain. Will recommend 1000 times.

Positive: The house itself was lovely and in a great location—fresh air, beautiful nature, and everything was in place. It’s about 20 minutes from the city center. The hosts were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The top floor has two rooms; we stayed in Room 2. Unfortunately, the bed was not very comfortable and made creaking noises. Although it was clear we were arriving with two children, the beds were not prepared, and towels were missing. We also found stains on the bed linen, so we had to use our own sheets. Breakfast was quite limited: two eggs, one slice of cheese, two slices each of tomato and cucumber, and a small spoon of spread. The bread was not fresh. Overall, we enjoyed the setting and hospitality, but a few improvements in comfort and cleanliness would make a big difference.

Positive: Wonderful hosts, Keti and Alexander made our stay exceptional. Feeling more like friends than customers we enjoyed staying in the village of Elshani. Hiking to great views nearby. The apartment was comfortable and included a small kitchen all constructed by Alexander. Keti’s cooking was organic and sourced from their own garden. Sitting on the balcony enjoying a homecooked Macedonian meal drinking homemade mastika and wine in the company of our hosts at sunset is a highlight of our travels.
