Positive: I am very happy with my stay. The manager is a lady who is experienced in dealing with guests. She also has a nice smile and that usually helps. Booking would probably call it a "Boutique hotel", while I would describe the place as homely with a high standard in the rooms. I particularly liked the carpets and the nice tiles. The buildings are built around a "patio" where you can relax with a good cup of tea. Otherwise it is dead quiet and you can hear your steps when you step on the gravel and birds chirping. Just what I was looking for. Or you can go down to Issyk Kul and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. Finally: Breakfast is included in the price and varied.

Positive: The house area was huge. It was quiet when we stayed there. It is about a 7- 8 mins walk to the beach behind. Beach is dirty though, but view is lovely. lovely orchards around the house. The owner prep dinner(upon request) and breakfast for us, and let us seat at the dining area with the lake view. Food prepared was superb! We can see the stars after dark. but will be better if the porch light is off for better viewing. Epic sunset from the porch. It is far from barskoon main town, so it is very secluded and quiet. stay here only if you want quiet and have your drinks and chips ready bought.

Negative: better to get a car if you'd book this place. it is right at the end of the opening of the gravel road. which is about a 15mins walk in, won't be convenient if you are backpacking or dragging your luggage.

Positive: We stayed for one night and enjoyed it a lot! The room was very big, the bed super comfortable. The lake is close by, and there is a way directly to the beach. The building is very modern and there is a beautiful outside area. Also the breakfast was very delicious.

Positive: The gardens throughout the grounds are spectacular, with everything from rose bushes to apple trees. The breakfast is lovely, and the whole family is so very friendly and welcoming.

Negative: You need a car to get anywhere in town, and it's not a waterfront location. But the mountain and lake views are nice.
