Positive: The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The meals provided were basic but sufficient. Our host was upfront about this and gave us the option to go elsewhere for dinner. The hosts were absolutely lovely and helpful. It was the check-in experience that was the problem.

Negative: Our stay was impacted by the difficult check in process. The instructions we received to check in proved to be unclear and confusing. We were sent screenshots of conversations with other guests about how to check in. After a long hike in the sun, it was quite difficult to interpret what these instructions meant. We second guessed ourselves. The accommodation would benefit greatly from dropping a “location pin” for the location. Alternatively, a map (hand drawn or using google maps) would be beneficial to help you understand the landmarks and route you follow to get to the destination. More detailed written instructions would assist. We found that we understood the screenshots after we had spent more time than we would have liked roaming around the area trying to find the accomodation. Even then, I set off alone without bags to check if we were on the right track. The hosts did kindly take me by car to collect my partner and the bags. I was very grateful for that.

Positive: We took the trek from Theth to Valbona and this guesthouse is located just at the end of the trek, which was amazing. The host is very kind and she made us dinner and breakfast. Lovely, tranquil place to relax after a days hike.

Positive: Wonderful stay! Location is on the hiking trail. Quiet, private property. Very clean.It looks like a cabin with each unit having its only entrance. My 13-year-old son and I were there with another mom and her son. We each had our own unit. There are 2 units next to each other. Each room has a private bathroom. It was fun finding the guesthouse. A car can pick you up, but since you are on the hiking trail you follow red markers on rocks and trees. Breakfast was wonderful. We ate outside. Marita the host was incredible. She greeted us on the trail and walked with us to her guest house. She asked if there was anything we needed. She was flexible with the breakfast time. She offered coffee at any time.

Positive: Perfect location, right off the theth-valbone trail. Peaceful, surrounded by nature with everything you could need after a long day of hiking (hot shower, bathroom, comfy bed). Our host was absolutely lovely and knowledgeable about travelling in the area. Would recommend to anyone and would 100% stay again.

Negative: Right near the trail for the Theth to valbone hike, great value for money very clean with private bathroom the bed was very comfy and I slept very well all night though it was peaceful. The host was very kind giving my husband a beer and making us lovely sandwhiches which we took on our hike that we absolutely loved. Great experience wld recommend xx overall great and exactly what we wanted

Positive: Fantastic set up for the end of the Theth to Valbone hike! The family run this guesthouse only in the summer months and the cabins are relatively new and very comfortable. Substantial breakfast included which and the host also offers a dinner which was great for the end of a long hike to not have to venture out again. Me and my partner shared one meal and it was more than enough. The location is great, it is right at the end (or start) of the Theth to Valbone trail which means you don't get hit with the additional km at the end along the river bed to reach your accomodation. I would recommend asking for detailed photos from the host as it could be a bit tricky to find without them. The host also helped us to get to the bus in the morning to head back to Shkoder which picks you up about a 5min walk away.

Positive: Fantastic wooden hut in the trees. Felt like being in a tramping hut but with a super comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom and a lovely host to take care of you. Breakfast was very big and we also had dinner (and absolute feast) there for €10. Would absolutely recommend.

Negative: Being in the forest is both good and bad - means you don’t have many views of the mountains

Positive: Beautiful wood cabin set back in the woods with a beautiful backdrop of mountain peaks. Very private and quiet place to rest before beginning a hike. (The Theth trail is steps away!) Marta is an excellent host, will make you tea and coffee anytime) and prepared an excellent dinner and breakfast for you. She started a fire for us to enjoy in the evening before heading to bed. There is a large hotel being built 500m away that has a restaurant and bar, playground, gardens if you want to get out.
