Positive: Lovely, clean and unique. These rooms are in the former monastery at the far end of town. There is a church and square outside of the guesthouse that feels almost private at night. The stars were lovely. We appreciate all the free bottled water. The room itself was adorable, clean and functional. We absolutely loved it.

Positive: The location is very pretty and unique staying within the castle walls. The guesthouse has a lot of character. Complimentary water, tea and coffee and wine which is a nice touch. There is a little simple seating area outside the guesthouse and it’s very close to the shops and restaurants. We would recommend it, as very good value. We got the economy room rate of €100.

Negative: We booked the economy room which was a little dark and small. The bathroom was very small but the room had a lot of character and we had a very comfortable stay for one night.

Summary: Unique experience within the castle grounds of Montavasia.

Positive: Very beautiful old building with a view to the sea. Very friendly and helpful owners. We got some local wine as a welcome and plenty of things to make ourselves a nice breakfast. It felt very cosy. Definitely recommended!

Negative: A little difficult to warm up the appartment with the air-conditioning, in a cold winter day.

Positive: Beautifully restored historic building with outstanding view of the sea. Very quiet. Three of us stayed in the two bed/two bath apartment which has a wonderful living/dining area. Coffee, tea and snacks were left for us. Immaculate with comfortable beds. Staff helps you get your bags over the cobblestone streets to and from the entry gate

Negative: Neither our phone or car GPS systems could find the road to the island and directed us all over the mainland town, down dirt roads, etc! A boy walking along a paved road was able to gesture adequately enough for us to find it!
