Positive: We loved the location. After working in Reykjavik for a week, we were ready to unwind and go offline and this location was perfect. So far away from everything yet so close to waterfalls and a short hop to Vik. It was perfect to rest and recharge before long days of driving in the rental car. Best dinner we had on the island and the nicest staff with friendly faces to see after windswept days outside.
Negative: We loved everything. We cannot say a bad thing about the property.
Summary: Lovely Laekur so far from anything but close to everything!

Positive: The hotel is in a good location, but also remote enough to be outside of the main road. The staff were very friendly and we loved playing with the dogs - they loved playing fetch with the snow! Breakfast was plentiful and we appreciated the sauna in cold winter evenings.
Negative: Our only small gripe was that the bathrooms are more like wet rooms, meaning that the shower overflows and floods the whole bathroom. We were unsure whether this was normal or whether our shower drain was blocked and used up our towels to soak up the water (which were promptly replaced in any case)
