Positive: We really liked the location of the hotel and the hotel itself. A quiet, peaceful town with a beautiful view. A very picturesque place, just a few minutes' drive from Chablis.

Negative: We were vacationing with our older children (20 and 27 years old) and felt very uncomfortable in the bathroom and toilet. The sheer curtain on the bathroom door barely covered the glass door. Because there was no upper partition between the room and the bathroom, the whole family could hear all the sounds coming from the toilet. We're all close, of course, but it still felt awkward.

Positive: The effort the staff went too to decorate this already stunning auberge for Christmas 🎄 ! Also how accommodating they are with allowing dogs 🐕 ! The restaurant had about 4 there so it was really lovely !

Negative: Breakfast was only ok we where late risers so no croisants left … but we had had sure a sumptuous dinner the night before we probably didn’t need too big a breakfast !

Summary: The perfect hotel stop on our road trip around France with dog and fabulous wine 🍷

Positive: Wonderful hotel full of artefacts. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Dinner excellent. Peaceful place. Warm welcome by the staff. Lovely breakfast by electric light and candlelight. I loved the church bells and the crowing of the cockerel but these may not be to everyone's taste.

Negative: Rather a strange and meandering walk from the bedroom to the dining room through the kitchen area. Spiral staircase difficult to negotiate if mobility compromised.

Summary: Peaceful stay in a rural and beautifully appointed hotel.

Positive: A lovely, obviously loved old property with pleasant courtyards in a nice quiet spot with ample secured parking. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant every bit as good as the reviews we had read (the fact that it was very busy on a Thursday night in such a small village says it all). Continental breakfast was also varied and generous.
