Positive: Excellent staff. Rooms are compact and single beds small (as per website). Nice selection for breakfast. Price was competitive but very expensive due to Oktoberfest and exhibitions. Fabulous location in quiet road near main central area, tube station, tram.
Negative: Small bed and room.

Positive: I stayed here at the end of a 16-day Interrailing trip across Europe, so the train-themed hotel was very apt! As well as having the novelty factor with the decor and theme, the beds were incredibly comfortable and it was in a good location just a couple of minutes' walk from the U-bahn and just one stop from there to Munich Hauptbanhof Station. Just a 10- minute walk to Marienplatz with major shops just round the corner. I was able to store my backpack here before check-in.
Negative: There is a cocktail bar next door which was quite noisy late at night. However, you can't hear it if you close the window and it's unlikely to be a problem if you are at the back of the building. It's well soundproofed and I did sleep really well here. I mention this only because it might be more of an issue in the height of summer if you want to sleep with the window open and are a light sleeper. There is a ceiling fan, though.

Positive: This hotel is located inside the historic walled area of Nuremberg. A little rough to drive and park but able to do. The hotel has a few parking spots close by if you are lucky enough to get one. Inquire when you check in. Otherwise they will direct you to parking. Walking distance to restaurants, museums, historic churches, and Nuremberg Trials Memorial.

Negative: Breakfast was good but very expensive. Booking indicated it was included and it was not. We had the bunk bed room - and climbing to the top bunk should not be attempted by an adult. The ladder rungs are far too narrow and the attachment to the bed is a bit scary for anyone more than 100 pounds.

Positive: The little orient express was cute. The staff was very friendly and rooms tiny, but adorable. I like the location: not in the middle of the tourist areas but just outside them.
Negative: No bathroom toiletries: just a small liquid soap bottle for everything.
