Positive: Right in the middle of the souvenir shops and restaurants, and a 10-15 minute walk to the grotto!
Negative: There were 3 of us, and we were like sardines in the room with our large luggages (mind you, we are pilgrims coming from the States, 2 of us with medical issues, so of course we have our whole life packed in those luggages). We were literally having to go over each other so we could move around. The temperature of the mini refrigerator is only a few degrees lower than room temperature, so keep that in mind for your insulins; they were warm to touch after a few days in the refrigerator. The rooms can get some deep cleaning; there were dirt from previous occupants under the bed (yes, we were moving beds to accommodate our luggages… you know what, do yourself a favor and just follow this rule: 2 persons in 1 room). There are only two elevators, and just like driving in freeways, there are peak hours. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes for an elevator, if there’s even space. This happened to me three times, and I recorded my wait times as follows: 8 minutes, 11 minutes, and 13 minutes. You can take the stairs, sure, if you’re fine using the exterior fire escape (no seriously, the door opens up to those fire escape stairs but I didn’t risk it cuz I didn’t know if it had any access back into the main lobby once I get down) or the indoor stairway (if only you can figure out the light switch, otherwise good luck especially after having Grave Encounters 2011 in my mind). The location is great, but after a while, you’ll notice that the souvenir stores are quite tacky and the restaurants are mediocre as much as they advertise the best pizza or best French food. It is really catered for pilgrims (not tourists; this is a different dimension lol). This also goes for convenience stores; the closest one is about a 5 minute walk and they literally have the most basic products that should get you by if you just needed a snack or two.

Positive: The room needs upgrading the beds are hard and the toilets and showers are older. The location of the hotel is very close to the entrance of the grotto and is easy to walk to. The breakfast was ok.
Negative: The hotel should have a better coffee shop. We arrived after 9pm and it was difficult to get something to eat. only ice cream and pies available.
Summary: Excellent location for the purpose of the trip.

Positive: The location is convenient and there is on site parking but you have to reserve in advance to assure a slot.
Negative: The rooms are a bit small and there is no hair conditioner and body lotion provided. But I think this is standard in European hotels. These are no big deals and I would still highly recommend this property.
