Summary: Comfortable hotel, sea view and in the middle of the town

Summary: Room was fine and the balcony looked out over the harbour. It’s a working harbour so maybe not the most scenic view but it was fine. We liked the town and the hotel was mostly good, particularly the location, but the extras kind of detracted. Almost €12 each for a run of the mill breakfast was way too much and the cafe next door would have been better value. Also they wanted €10 for parking but we found free parking quite close. We enjoyed our stay and would go back but it wouldn’t take a lot of consideration and effort to improve the hotel experience.

Summary: We have stayed in the area before but to be at the quayside was so convenient to sample the bars and restaurants and we arrived on the night of a fiesta so we had a great night.

Summary: Loved Port Vendres. The hotel was fine, just a couple of small irritations, one of which would not be fixable. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Position was perfect. It came as a shock that there was no lift as we were exhausted and with heavy luggage. The wifi was weird. It kept logging out and the username/pw entry over and over again was irritating. My laptop reported it as unsafe. We had hoped for rooms with a view but that did not happen. I didn't feel it was worth the trouble to ask for a change. When we did make requests they were addressed efficiently and quickly.

Summary: This hotel is in a great position, right by the port. Worth the extra money for a room with a balcony and a view over the port. It's just been renovated and it looks really good, very nice rooms with good bathroom too. Very friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to my next visit.
