Positive: Great location right by the ski slope! Bad Gastein is a lovely town but the main part has a lot of steep streets, this house is just by the Stuberkogel which is much easier to get to the slopes. The place is compact but very functional and the beds were very comfy. The cooking facilities worked for us despite the small kitchen. There is a large Spar close by with everything you need and also you can easily walk up to Rossalm for lunch or apre-ski drink. There is ski storage but we rented ours from Lederer and could just leave it in the depot there.
Negative: there wasn't quite enough hot water if we all wanted to shower after skiing. The parking in the winter is tricky (icy and steep to get into), but if you have a 4x4 would be fine (or more experience of driving in winter!). We ended up just parking in the main car park at the bottom (which is free) which we found to be a lot easier! If you were very tall you might find the main bedroom ceiling a little low.
Summary: Great location and a cosy and comfortable apartment.
