About this space
Welcome to our rustic ocean cottage in Hackett's Cove, 10 mins to Peggy's Cove! The cottage is perfect for an intimate getaway for 2 with an open concept kitchen/living/dining space, bedroom with queen bed, and full bath. Enjoy the original wood accents, a wood burning stove, and a semi-private oceanfront patio. The kitchen is stocked to cook a basic meal including a range, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Just a few mins away you can enjoy the Finer Diner, Rhubarb Restaurant and more!
The space
This tiny cottage is on a shared lot with the main house - also available for rent! The driveway is shared with the main house.

Enter through the main door and you will land in the open concept living space. First you will find a living room with a plush sofa and flat screen TV, as well as a selection of games. There is a wood burning fireplace for your enjoyment and you will be provided with one bundle of firewood, paper, and a lighter. There is a kitchen with a range, full fridge, drip coffee maker, and microwave. The dining table accommodates four.

Off a small hallway there is a bedroom with queen bed, and a full bath with shower/tub combo. Continuing down the hall is the patio door, which wraps around to the back of the cottage. The patio is situated to provide privacy from the main home, and the main house patio is not visible from the cottage patio.
Guest access
Guests have access to parking for one vehicle in a shared driveway, and the entire cottage. This is a shared lot with another rental home.
Other things to note
Wood is not provided, however, you can purchase it nearby at Redmond's Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, or the Irving Gas Station.

There is access to the water by walking down the wooden stairs and walking down the path, note these are in a shared outdoor space with the large cottage next door. Also, it's important to note that the walk down is tricky and the shoreline is very rocky and not suitable for swimming.

All Over Sea units are strictly non-smoking (cigarettes, hookah, marijuana, etc.) and quiet enjoyment suites. Please remember that any type of parties/events are prohibited and guests who violate this rule are subject to immediate removal with no refund.

Summary: The cottage was very cute and clean but on the small size. Perfect for a one night stay. Loved the TV and it had everything we needed. The bathroom could use an update but we had a very comfortable stay.

Summary: Hi, The review will be listed in 4 parts. 1. Communication, the manager was quick on reply and was super efficient in giving all information needed prior check in. I had to change my reservation date a month prior of stay, and it went well and it was efficient. 5/5 2. Location, wow. Shores to Saint Margaret's Bay and a local beach nearby melted our hearts. Plus it was near Halifax (30m drive) 5/5 3. Cleanliness, the place feels old, though. But it was clean and that's the most important. Lawn cut, toilet clean and bed sheet felt cozy. Some improvment could be done, tough. High surface could be better swiped and the climatisation could be better maintained. 4.5/5 4. Appreciation. Overall, I had a blast and I'd definitely go back. Price was reasonable and the four tire was great for that price. We should have stayed longer. 4.8/5 overall rating. Thanks a lot. You want to have a nice time by the sea, near Halifax for you and your partner, this is the place.

Summary: Cabin was cute and clean but needs some tlc. was told there would be firewood but there wasn’t. There were leftover organics in the organics bin. Booked for 2 people but there was only one deck chair so could not sit outside and enjoy the view. Recieved the “house rules” the day before checking in and they had a rather negative undertone of the consequences to not following the rules. Left a bit of a negative feel to staying
