Positive: The views were glorious, even on a very wet and windy weekend. The sitting room is pretty and comfortable.
Negative: Would really love a super king size bed in one of the rooms (or two three foot beds that could be zipped together to provide flexibility).
Summary: Lovely hosts and pretty, well presented, cottage. Oh and my husband enjoyed the scones!

Positive: The location was great, lovely views, the house was really nice
Negative: Wasn't a lot of cupboard space for food in kitchen, very small fridge. There were various places in the house that looked like they hadn't been cleaned for some time, like dust behind the head boards. And cobwebs under tables ect.

Positive: Location was excellent for walking Hadrians Wall and also to explore the borders region! Great plate of scones and bottle of wine on arrival, open fire with wood supplied is a bonus.

Positive: Fantastic location, great host and a very comfortable property. The property is almost on Hadrian's Wall and makes an excellent base to explore the wall or a stop on the way if you're walking the entire length.
Negative: A sign on the property would have reduced my confusion on arrival but that is really nit-picking.
Summary: Great place, great host. Thoroughly recommend it.

Positive: I loved the beautiful location, proximity to Hadrians Wall, the scones on arrival, the kids toys, the books and the fireplace. Great big bathtub and then shower in a second bathroom. Several country walks right from the house, and good food shops 15 minutes away in town. Worked really well for our family holiday! I would love to go back!
Negative: Couldn't have been any better.
Summary: A Peaceful Retreat with every imaginable comfort.
