Summary: Overall a great stay. Always love the beds at Hampton Inn. Great lobby, eating area and outdoor space. I needed the business center a couple of times and computer was fast. Workout room was spacious and adequate. Only complaint is that the water cooler was empty and I mentioned it 2x to the front desk and it was still empty on the 3rd morning. Might be nice to install a water station to refill water bottles vs. the drinking fountain. Thank you for a nice stay.

Summary: The room was great for watching the fireworks on Saturday. But later on that night from 12-2am someone on the same floor was making all kinds of noise. At one point I looked out into the hallway because it sounded like someone was fighting. The other thing is that only one elevator was working on a busy weekend 😳.

Summary: Hotel is not downtown it's in midtown. Had to pay whooping $18 day for parking. Elevator wait can be long.

Summary: for a quick overnight stay, it was fine. Pros: nice indoor pool and hot tub, open late(11pm); VERY friendly/helpful staff (the hair dryer in our room was sparking, when it was on High, and they were quick to send a replacement); breakfast was included; Clean Cons: the only way into the hotel is through the parking garage (as far as we could tell) - just made it awkward, circling and trying to find the entrance; only one of two elevators was working during our stay, making for extended wait times (we were on the 6th floor, so not taking stairs with all of our bags); could hear through walls quite easily; BIGGEST CON: The curtains don’t cover the entire window! there is a sheer, covering the middle section, but the heavy curtains are on short tracks that stop and leave about three feet that are just sheers. What that means is that you get LOADS of sunlight coming in, beginning around 6am…so guess what time we started waking up, after a late night. We attempted to stretch the curtains and try to secure them, using a chair, but quickly realized that it would then block the air conditioning. Thank goodness we were on the west side of the hotel, and didn’t get the direct morning sunlight…I would’ve been furious! For this reason, alone, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Summary: Stayed as part of a couples night out to see Grand Rapids and a concert at Van Andel. The hotel was good but the elevators are slow and there is only 1 for the hotel property. It’s located a little further away from downtown attractions so definitely need to get uber or drive.
