Positive: We stayed at Hangman’s Cottage for a long weekend and it’s a lovely little retreat for a couple for a short stay. The space is small but it’s been lovingly renovated and you can tell the owners have taken such care and thought to make the space functional, but with charming historical touches. We made a couple of meals in the kitchen, which has been really well designed for the space, the shower is powerful and the bed is superbly comfy. Sadly the weather wasn’t good enough during our stay to be out in the e garden-but during the summer this would be a fantastic space to eat outside or just enjoy a glass of something in the evening! It was also so thoughtful to have water, bread and delicious Lincolnshire plum loaf left out for us! All in all we couldn’t recommend it highly enough-just be aware that the stairs are very narrow and steep and wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Negative: No parking immediately outside property (unless you are very lucky!)
Summary: charming property in a charming location. Interior which has been designed with care and thought

Positive: Hangman's Cottage may be small, but it is very well appointed, warm and comfortable. It proved to be an ideal base for my activities at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre just a few miles away. There is a good-sized garden area, but the January weather / temperature precluded enjoying that!
Summary: An excellent cottage to use as a base for exploring Lincolnshire.

Positive: Was so impressed with Hangman's Cottage that I felt compelled to write a review. The place has got an endearing contemporary quaint look, was spotless, and smelled brand new; And it was VERY well equipped. I'm not normally one to comment on decor, but the interior was so beautiful that you felt as though you'd stepped into a magazine. Importantly, it was quiet. In the end, the fact that I could not park next to the cottage paled into insignificance. Would highly recommend a stay here and most certainly visit again.

Positive: The cleanliness and quality and ingenuity of the furniture and fittings in the cottage, with it being so 'bijoux', with EVERYTHING you could possibly need, expertly tucked away innevery nook and cranny in the place, with enough food supplies, privuded bybthe host, to last a whole week's worth of breakfasts for two! The summer house and old fashiibed English walled garden were exquisite, and totally private, even though the cottage being down a leafy lane leading to the church, just off the town centre. During nice, warm.dry weather, you could spend thevwhoke week out there, with the cosy, comfy summer house being equipped with electrical supply, radio and small 'real-effect flame' electric log burner, 'real effect' candles, piles of local area magazines and information, PLUS artists' materials with easel, an acoustic guitar, and a selection of board games and puzzle and reading books, so no shortage of things to do on those rainy days, in our 'green and pleasant land' 😏☺️ A beaitiful little cottage, with lots of history and character, but maybe more suited for just one person, if staying for more than a long weekend, due to the 'bijoux' nature of the place, and dud fundbthe steep, narrow staircase a bit of a challenge for our 70 yr. old plus tired legs, though we're both generally fit and well and not 'big' people' 😏
Negative: As above, last sentence. Also with the proximity of the property to the main trunk road on the edge of the small town, even thoughbtgd garden is completly high walled, the constant sound of the passing traffic did kind of impinge a wee bit on the outdoor experience whilst sitting out in the otherwise totally beautiful 'Zen 'garden and summer house, but neither of these slightly negative comments would stop us from staying in the cottage again, but maybe just for a long weekend next time, rather than a whole week, and bearing in mind our advancing years!
