Positive: Nice hotel and spa resort, perfect for those who want nature and a quiet atmosphere. The spa has separate zones for men and women, with both sauna and steam room. The swimming pool is quite cool (around 20°C), which is refreshing after a sauna. There’s also a relaxation area and a jacuzzi. We visited during the low season, so it felt very private and peaceful. Breakfast is Norwegian-style, with a variety of toppings (pålegg), scrambled eggs, fried eggs with bacon, red bean soup, sausages, vegetables, yogurt, and fruit. Good outdoor, playground and tennis court, but we didn’t try coz bad weather.

Negative: You’ll need to drive and park at the parking lot (about 100 NOK per 24 hours), then take a ferry (around 65 NOK per adult, per trip). It’s walking distance from the ferry to the hotel, but if you need transport, it’s best to contact the hotel in advance. The rooms are okay—nothing new, but a decent standard.

Positive: The location - very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. The generous breakfast buffet.

Negative: Rather spartan amenities in the room.

Summary: Wonderful stay and hope to go back. Very good value for money in an otherwise expensive country!

Negative: Tired, empty lonely feeling place. Extra charge for ferry and bikes each way. We felt they were opaque about the cost of dinner. The food was good, one set meal only was offered, top $$ (we had to ask the cost,it wasn’t openly shown anywhere).
