Positive: Great employees in the hotel. I recommend getting excursions in the hotel. About great wall extras - old style chairs are enough, not necessarily to buy both kinds of lifts (especially if you are with child).

Positive: The staff there were so lovely, and had much better English than when I stayed at a more expensive hotel in Beijing. They went out of their way to be helpful, with booking taxis, suggesting food and tours, and ran after me when i checked out with the sunglasses I had forgotten. Just to note, there wasn't a lift, so if you have trouble with stairs see if you can get a downstairs bedroom. Room was compact, but had everything I needed.

Positive: The front desk staff was absolutely exceptional — the best we’ve ever encountered. They were incredibly helpful, professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to take care of us. We were welcomed with fluent English, given maps, shown all the main attractions, and even had help planning our itinerary. We also really liked the hotel’s design, and our room was spacious and very comfortable.
Negative: The only disappointment was the Great Wall tour we booked through the hotel. The guide provided minimal information and didn’t accompany us up the wall, only speaking briefly on the bus. Afterward, we were taken to an overpriced restaurant for lunch (included in the tour), but drinks weren’t included and the prices were outrageous — it felt like a scam. Several people in the group felt the same way. We’d recommend staying at the hotel, but arranging your own Great Wall visit separately.
