Positive: A typical hotel in the Hutong area. Beautiful courtyard hotel with excellent facilities (including heated floors, smart system inside the room, TV projector screen, and a smart toilet!). But what makes it a great experience is the service provided by the staff - they go totally out of their way to help you... they are so friendly and explain everything. They even booked a place for Tiananmen square for us because we didn't know that it needs to be booked a day in advance. Totally recommended!

Positive: From start to finish we absolutely loved our stay at the Happy Dragon Courtyard. The hotel is situated in a traditional Hutong setting and is styled to match. The staff are all so welcoming, and all go out of their way to assist with all your needs. We did the dumpling making course followed by the traditional Chinese meal with local wines and beers and it was superb. The master chef was excellent at showing us step by step and complimented us with how well we did. The food he prepared alongside our dumplings was superb. We will definitely be back to this hotel when we return to China. The room is decorated in a beautiful style and the courtyard in between made me think of Yu Garden in Shanghai. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the addition of drinks provided in the room was great. We only had breakfast twice during our stay due to having activities booked early on the other days but when we did have it, it was delicious. The staff tended to all of our needs and even provided us with a breakfast package to take with us on our day of departure at 0530. The hotel is also situated in close proximity to the Lama Temple and line 2/5 on the Metro making it easy to get to all the main attractions.
Negative: We wasn’t able to take advantage of the fantastic projector in our room due to the casting not working. This may have been down to the settings on our own devices though and is not a reflection of the hotel.
Summary: We had a lovely stay at the Happy Dragon Courtyard hotel and the staff are amazing!

Positive: Modern room and hotel within the historical Hutong areas allowing us to experience the local culture in comfort. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We felt very much at home. We have stayed at more than a hundred hotels around the world and this is one we would certainly come back to if staying in Beijing.

Positive: The team are so friendly, helpful and just lovely people. They really took care of us and made us feel comfortable. For tourists, they speak English comfortably which can be really helpful. The location and facilities are really nice.

Positive: A true hutong experience.
Negative: Accommodation was a bit confusing to get to by car but that's part of the fun to stay in a hutong. Once you know the area, entrance to the subway is just a 5-10 minutes walk from the accommodation.
Summary: Totally Beijing experience. Staffs were extremely helpful and nothing were troublesome to them.

Positive: The hotel is really nice and clean, it is well placed in the Hutongs and close to the Lama temple & underground but what really makes it very special is its amazing staff. Nancy, Elsa and Boni were so lovely and caring & helped us a lot when we had issues with a tour we booked. Highly recommend it.
