This converted 'Oxen shed' is situated at the end of a quiet lane on the family's working sheep farm in the picturesque village of Kelston. Although only ten minutes from the center of Bath and 20 minutes from Bristol it is set in beautiful countryside surrounded by rolling hills.
It is a cosy, detached, single story property with a whirlpool bath, electric wood effect stove and pretty wrought iron bed. You can relax on your own private veranda with spectacular views out over open countryside.
'The Old Crown Inn', a traditional West country pub, is just a ten minute walk down to the village. Here you can enjoy a wide range of reasonably priced food and a good selection of beverages including local real ales and cider.
There are many fantastic walks from the cottages. These include a walk up to 'Kelston Round Hill' from which you can take in panoramic views over Bath and Bristol. For the more adventurous the Cotswold Way passes through the farm allowing you to further explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Summary: Hare cottage was a sweet and peaceful place to stay to take in this part of the country. A nice place to relax during a very busy week of daytrips to Stonehenge and Weston super-mare and even Caerphilly Castle in Wales. Nicely located, close enough to enjoy the markets and attractions in Bath whilst enjoying the quiet countryside of the evening and waking up to incredible misty scenes across the fields and valleys. The cottage itself was excellent and faultless and the host is exteemely welcoming and friendly.

Summary: The property is provided with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and is ideally situated; far enough away from noisy roads yet handy for Bath, Bristol and other attractions. If hilly walking/running is your thing, you could do no better than stay here. Highly recommended.

Summary: Just come back from a lovely stay at Hare Cottage. Views are spectacular (rolling hills, sheep and great views of Bath and Bristol). Bottle of wine was an extra surprise. Good selection of walks and easy access to Bath and Bristol via Park and Ride. Best place for lunch and snacks the Bath Cheese Company. Delicious homemade soup and Quiches had lunch there four days (just down the road). Very relaxing holiday. Just one little thing the Microwave could do with an update otherwise perfect.
