Perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat or just to get away for some time alone. This original Florida cracker-style house consists of the main great room, kitchen and dining areas, one bathroom and one bedroom with a queen bed. We do have a pull-out bed in the living room. It is a really cool and relaxing house. It is wired with WIFI, Local and streaming TV. There is a music collection that you have full use of. CD's, Cassettes, LP Records and Radio. The home has central air, RO Water Filtration for drinking water and ice. Your dog is welcome. Two minutes to local ramp for fishermen. Bring your boat or kayaks. Close to marinas, boat ramps and restaurants. Take the local ferry to the out-island like Cayo-Costa, Captiva and Cabbage Key for lunch. This is a secluded location, so don't be surprised if you get a visit from our local peacocks. Old Tropical Florida at it's finest.
NOTE: The months of January, February and March require full month bookings (no weekly or daily bookings). If the calendar shows that a portion of one of these months has been booked, please inquire with manager to possibly arrange to rent the remainder of that month. Otherwise, any request for a partial month will be declined. ALSO: Security/damage deposit for these months will be $1000.00.

Summary: This cottage was exactly what I was looking for to cool off and rejuvenate. Very private and has all the essentials for the stay. Stayed for a month and everything is as described in the posting. Carl is an amazing host; responding quick and tried to accommodate all my requests. Having purified water is a luxury as I always spend a decent amount on fancy spring water or purified water. Could not really explore any games, music or TV as i was pretty busy with work and travel. Enjoyed the nearby places whenever I got time. Island has decent restaurants and coffee places. Thoroughly enjoyed my time peacefully at the cottage. yes you will get to see the peacocks once in a while. Will definitely be going back and see Carl again. Thanks Carl ! for the wonderful property. Ohh yes! the beer mug in the freezer was a cool sign :) ( I luv beers). Thanks again !

Summary: My husband & I had a beautiful stay @ Carl's property. We used this as a home base to sight see Pine Island, Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key & Lovers Key. Beautiful area of the state. Highly recommend for Peace & Quiet. Great record collection!!!

Summary: If you are looking for some peace & seclusion, then this place is for you!! Carl was such a pleasure to have as a host. Any questions you may have, he responds quickly as well as being a realtor on the island just in case you fall in love with the island as we did. They supply all the addresses/numbers for all the restaurants/attractions near by, we fell in love with kayaking around all the mangroves. Another surprising plus were all the records/cds/cassettes!! Fully stocked house/kitchen etc. A wonderful private island feel without all the noise of a typical tourist area was just what the doctor ordered. 10 stars!!
