Positive: The hotel is a beautifully renovated old building, fish hatchery, adjacent to the river and a large riverfront park in La Crosse! Excellent location is also within walking distance of downtown La Crosse with many restaurants and entertainment options. Our room was beautiful with an attractive woven rug over hardwood floors, large windows on three sides with views of the park, river and walled Japanese garden next to the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and cozy on a frigid January night. The bathroom was spacious as was the walk-in shower with beautiful tiled floor and fixtures. The bar/lounge in the hotel had a gorgeous hardwood back and bar top, with exposed brick walls. Coffee right out side the room in the morning (K-cup). Parking in their private lot between the hotel and garden.

Negative: Everything was excellent! The bathroom was a little cold but the owners indicated that the floor heating system may not have been working correctly. The room was plenty warm on a night when temps dipped to single digits.

Summary: Beautifully renovated, boutique hotel in a park setting close to restaurants, bars and shops.

Positive: I would honestly say if you’re looking for a Boutique, Luxury experience without the hassle of dealing with multiple guests and kids running around this is your place. From the moment you open the door to walk up the stairs to the lobby area there’s a little bar area with complimentary beverages and snacks. You use your own personalized code to get into your room, which makes you feel secure. The rooms are absolutely designed amazingly! Beds were comfortable and the shower was a full spa like steamed shower. I couldn’t have found a better place to stay in walkable distance to downtown restaurant and activities.

Summary: Best way to spend my Birthday Weekend! Beautiful property and worth every penny !
