Positive: Rairoa and Florian were superb hosts! Hava’e Lodge at Teapoho is a wonderful place to stay, with beautiful views of the famous Teahupo’o surf wave. The location is truly special, and waking up here was an unforgettable experience. I’m especially grateful to Florian for accompanying me on a kayak trip to watch the surfers and the waves—it was such a memorable and unique experience! The hospitality was exceptional. Rairoa, his cousin Ari, and Florian went above and beyond to extend kindness and generosity to me, even on very short notice when I had difficulties unexpectedly with my rental car and getting to the lodge quite late at night. I was genuinely touched by how welcoming and accommodating everyone was on such short notice and so late at night. As a solo female traveler this meant the world to me. Mauruuru roa for making my stay at Teahupo’o so special. I would absolutely recommend Hava’e Lodge to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay and wonderful truly caring hosts.

Positive: The lodge was big and comfortable inside and out, beautiful location by Teahupoo wave. Great view of green mountains behind and excellente view of lagoon and reef in front. Short 5 minute walk to the bus. The owner and staff were great, friendly + helpful.
Negative: The hamburger restaurant at the end of the road closes for food before 5 pm. That is when people are hungry. Dumb. That has nothing to do with the lodge.
