Positive: The place is very cosy and has a lovely garden that can be freely used by the guests. The herbs (mint, thyme, chives) or cassis were there for us to use. A good array of nice toys for the kids was a pleasant surprise.

Negative: There were a few things that were missing and would make the life in the gîte even more comfortable. We missed wardrobes, an iron (there was an ironing board though), a cloth to clean the table, a dustpan. Also, we were provided 2 dishwasher tablets for 6 days because the tenants are expected to buy their own. I find this an unnecessary frugality from the owner.

Summary: Our stay was (almost) perfect, could be improved with some tiny details.

Positive: The house was indeed a haven of peace and is very comfortable and has everything you need. There is a bakery near to the house which we visited every morning. Nearby, there are some beautiful beaches. We particularly liked Saint Martin de Bréhal which had a good selection of cafes and restaurants.
