Summary: We loved our stay in this hidden treasure! Great communication with owners, very clean home, fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals, more dvds and blu rays than you could imagine for nightly movies, comfortable sitting areas, so many rooms to sneak away for some alone time, wonderful dining room, and the list could go on and on! The teenagers loved exploring inside and outside! Truly felt like a castle and full of hidden treasures. We love every minute of it - even the bugs and the lack of signal (even though we were able to find plenty of areas to receive a strong enough signal when we needed it.) The stream was amazing! Beautiful gazebo and nice fire pit made coming back after a long day hiking very restful. We enjoyed the state parks in the area with beautiful hikes. Also, grocery store within 20 minutes was super nice. Just a perfect getaway! Made lots of great memories!

Summary: The house was great. It had a lot of surprises and we loved it. The location was great, we were only 30 minutes from all our activities. The property is beautiful, we even got to see some deer.

Summary: this quirky castle was a fun multi-generational getaway. logan & kim were exceptional about communicating & made check-in & check-out easy. property was fun to explore for both the dog & kids. and good location to nearby state parks & hiking trails.

Summary: Let me start by saying the first grader cried when we left because she didn’t want to leave. Are you the kind of person who looks for hidden Mickeys at Disney? Well, this castle is full of hidden surprises at every turn- crowns and tiaras, castles, chandeliers, and fantasy fun to discover in every room. The teenager claimed the third floor sunroom and enjoyed her privacy… and probably the best cell signal in the house. The first grader loved the journals everywhere with their magical pens. The preschooler rejoiced at the collection of puzzles and “boy toys”. Both littles loved all the toys tucked away in the various rooms, and they insisted upon sleeping in the bunk beds (we put them in the bottom two since they were young, the top might be good for around an 8 yr old). Mom & Dad enjoyed the collection of things you might need- stocked like a regular house there was coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, salt and sugar, etc. We made breakfast and bought some Pam spray. Towels and soaps were abundant, as well as the paper products. Plenty of kitchenware. The windows looked out into the woods, so lots of lovely views. The waterfall was visible from several rooms, but it was dry, even with the rain we had in the fall. There had been a drought prior so that may have been the cause. City dwellers beware, while the creek is lovely, and you can even feed the birds with the supplied birdseed, there were quite the number of bugs- mostly spiders (I think I counted at least 6 different kinds), millipedes (of the 2”-4” variety maybe because of the rain?), and a few moths, mostly on the first floor. The house did have ample bug spray so we gave the house an extra dousing. The other thing to note was the lack of a cell signal or wifi… the owners were upfront about this so it wasn’t a surprise. The plus side of this was we were able to disconnect- the down side was that when the tornado warning went off at 5 am, there wasn’t an easy way to check the weather via phone or tv. The castle is a converted bunker/off the grid shelter through, so we hoped the cinder block structure would protect us if anything did come our way… by the time we got a signal, we figured out the warning was for several miles east so we were all in the clear. All in all, it was a memorable stay that we will likely tell stories about for years.

Summary: We stayed here while helping our daughter move at the the university. Everything was as advertised and we really enjoyed the uniqueness of the home along with the rock bottom creek. Our dogs loved it as well.

Summary: Above and beyond! Heart Stone Castle was beautiful and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The book and movie libraries were excellent. We loved wading in the stream, watching the wildlife, exploring the trails and the convenience to surrounding attractions. Even though we were all adults the castle theme was so much fun to discover- hidden room, secret passageway, and royal decor. Loved the tea and coffee bar and the kitchen was well-stocked. The space was also perfect for our dog. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Would definitely go back!

Summary: This "castle" is all that I thought it would be and more. It offered our family a "magical" and fabulous experience!!! The hosts were SO very awesome, quickly responding and answering ALL our questions. THANK YOU, Hosts, for being outstanding in every way. Only one thing, the front stairs, when wet, can be slippery, so guests should be careful. My husband now is dealing with a medical condition because of a fall in the front of the house. . .he does NOT indulge at all and was not playing around, just walking down the front steps. Other than that ALL, exceeded expectations!!!
