2 Bedroom Cabin in Brooksville

A two bedroom log home in the peaceful, friendly Penobscot Bay town of Brooksville, our cabin makes the perfect base for exploring our beautiful area by land or sea.
You'll find many opportunities for sailing, canoeing or kayaking. It is a short walk to Orcutt's Harbor, a mile from the Buck's Harbor public landing and is minutes away from beaches and the landings at the Holbrook Island Sanctuary state park, Smith Cove and the Bagaduce River. Although there's plenty to do, Brooksville is pleasantly quiet, even in summer. It's a twenty-minute drive to Blue Hill, and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are an hour away. From Stonington, about a half hour away, you can take the mailboat to Isle au Haut, home of the less-visited part of Acadia.
Our cabin is heated and is available year round. Fall is especially beautiful around here.

Summary: My brother and I loved the short getaway even though it rained and rained. The cabin was spotless and very well appointed. The screened in porch with rocking chairs were ideal for conversation and listening to the rain.

Summary: This was our base for a family reunion happening in Sedgwick, but also convenient for daytrips to Castine, Blue Hill, and Deer Isle. The kitchen is particularly adorable and the porch is perfect for morning coffee. Washer/dryer a huge bonus too. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Summary: Sorry I am so late doing this so late. We enjoyed staying at this property. Wish we had more than the 2 nights. It was convenient to the activities we had planned. The house was very clean and everything we needed was supplied. Would book again if we are staying in the area.

Summary: The house was very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the porch and the area state park. We traveled to Stonington and Belfast for a day. Traveled to Steuben for a puffin cruise and seals . Awesome day and great viewings.

Summary: The property was comfortable, restful, and relaxing. The preserve 2 miles from the property has some very good hiking trails for all skill levels. Finding homestead cemeteries along the trails was an exciting piece of history to come across during the hikes. The location is good if you want to drive around and explore some of the coastal towns, especially Castine and Stonington. The only thing I would suggest is that you make sure that there is charcoal for the grill at the residence before you start to grill. The paperwork inside the residence said that there was charcoal in the cellar but unfortunately there was none. This was just a minor inconvenience and in no way took away from our amazing 25th wedding anniversary trip.

Summary: Very clean and well-maintained cabin with all the comforts and necessities. Tastefully decorated and comfortable with a very nice screened-in deck for relaxing. My only regret is that my work at the WoodenBoat School didn't give me enough time to truly kick back and relax there!
