Private pool, open all year round with a $60 a day heating option (*up to 88 degrees). Central location, just 15 minutes from Historic Downtown Savannah and 30 minutes from the beach, this home is part of a bird sanctuary and waterfront community. The private community boat ramp is across the street and at the end of the block giving you easy access to the Vernon River. Bring your kayaks, canoes or motorboats and explore the salt marsh and barrier islands of Coastal Georgia. This home is located next door to the Blue Kayak House, which sleeps 8. If you have a large group, check for availability of both houses.
From the moment you walk in the front door you feel like you are home. The open concept living room, dining room and kitchen are vaulted and look out onto the travertine patio and pool, bringing the outside in. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and microwave. Two counter stools in the kitchen ready for great conversations while cooking, or enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The dining table is set for 8. The living room has a 50" flat screen television with cable and Netflix. Pair your iPhone to the Sony stereo and enjoy your tunes! There are two master bedrooms in this divided floor plan. One to the right of the living room/dining room and the other to the left, in the bedroom wing. Both masters have en suite bathrooms. There are two more bedrooms, one with a bunk bed (twin upper, full lower, twin trundle) and the other with a Queen bed. There is another full bathroom on the hall near the two bedrooms. The water heater is on demand, so hot water is never a problem or issue. All bedrooms have lamps with USB ports and outlets for convenient phone charging.
Backyard/patio and private pool (heating option up to 88 degrees at $50 a day) fenced with a 6' privacy fence and there is a built in gas grill for your use. Let me know if you need the pool heated during your stay.
Please do not decorate, nail or tape to the walls or moldings. No glitter or confetti of any kind is allowed.
There is a double driveway giving you lots of off street parking.

Summary: Great location, quick drive to downtown and beaches. The heated pool was definitely a bonus. We had 6 adults and a baby with plenty of space. Kitchen was well-stocked with housewares and appliances. Owner/manager very responsive. We stayed here a week after Hurricane Helene and owners had worked hard cleaning up debris. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: Mike & Wendy were wonderful hosts. Great communication and super helpful. House was perfect for our family. Pool was gorgeous and so well kept. Bedrooms were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked! Everything was tight of - from shampoo to makeup cloths. Kids loved walking to the boat house. Very kind owners. Dog-friendly too! Just so thankful for this beautiful place.

Summary: Was here for family girls’ trip with my 90 year old mom, my sister, daughters and niece. The bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent for 6 people and everything was ready for us. The pool was fantastic, although it rained on our lazy day so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted to. Great restaurants near by and an easy drive into historic Savannah for touring and eating. Host was always quick and polite with any responses, but I didn’t need much interaction since the house was set up so well. We would definitely stay here again for another visit.
