Positive: The unit kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed - coffee pot, sugar, dishes... Easy access to the unit with directions sent by staff.

Negative: There was an abundance of spiral staircases. One to get to the unit, two more tight ones to get upstairs - one to get to the main bedroom and another to get to the second bedroom. Walk thru the second bedroom to get to the deck. The "view" from the deck was of a bunch of roof tops and if you stood in one particular spot, you could see the castle ruins. The windows in the living, dining and kitchen all looked at walls, doors and windows of other abodes. A bit claustrophobic for someone not used to city living.

Summary: Ok if you're out a lot.

Positive: The apartment is very central and convenient for all the sights, as it is on the main street in the old town. It was noisy at night but the hosts provided ear plugs which was really helpful. We loved being in the heart of Heidelberg!

Positive: Great location. Very clean and spacious apartment. Easy walk from Old Town Station. Everything we needed.

Negative: The bathroom was accessed from the main bedroom. It didn't bother us (3 adults) but it may be inconvenient for 2 couples. Spiral case on 3rd floor was again OK for us with small bags but if you have large cases I would suggest a lower floor.

Positive: Wow - loved this apartment! Felt like a home away from home - beautifully fitting for the old town of Heidelberg - open up the windows and listen to the church bells and the cobbled street below. Just loved it. It's a good size, with a lovely large living area and comfortable arm chairs. Downstairs on the street - cafes and gift shops everywhere - the location is fabulous. Modern kitchen, everything you would need. A lovely gift of wine on arrival (which I'm very sorry we didn't drink as we already had some of our own to drink before returning to New Zealand!). Great recommendations for restaurants provided. Highly recommend this apartment - just lovely.

Negative: It wouldn't stop me returning but if I had to choose something that wasn't perfect - the shower is over the bath and it was a little slippery so would caution older folk.

Summary: Loved it the minute we walked in! Such an amazing apartment in a beautiful location!
