Positive: Pleasant hotel. Great for parking. Room was a good size and easily accessible via lifts or stairs. The bar area was comfortable (air con). We didn't eat but others in our group tried the bar menu for Burger and Pizza and these were reasonably priced, ample portions and good quality. One of our group is a golfer who commented that the course was excellent. We didn't try any of the other facilities as we were attending a wedding and didn't get the opportunity so I can't comment on those.
Negative: Other than the Bar area there is no air conditioning. The rooms and corridors were literally stifling. I'd checked the day before and discovered the lack of air con so we took our large fan from home which helped slightly. The hotel did provide a fan but this was as useful as an asthmatic trout. You get air con at budget hotels like Premier Inn and Travelodge so the lack of this facility during hot weather was frustrating. I had breakfast on day one and this was below average buffet fayre. Fried egg came out woefully overcooked. Didn't bother on day two.
Summary: Could be nice if the weather is cooler. Probably great for golfers.

Positive: The room was big clean and comfort. The entrance and areas were all welcoming Lovely surroundings
Negative: The bedroom was far too hot. Air con did. It work and the fan proceeds nothing to reduce the heat. There was a French door In the room but was locked and unable to Open which would have helped reduce the heat slightly. Air conditioning was working in other parts of the hotel so the rooms should have been sorted or at least an apology or offer of water when checking in
Summary: Stayed one night attractive surroundings and area but air conditioning needs to be sorted for the bedroom

Positive: Location adjacent to golf course. Menu at dinner limited but food we ordered was very good. Very comfortable bed. Ironing board in room, convenient. Brilliant hairdryer. Friendly staff. Heated towel rail in bathroom. Very clean. Great lounge space with fab view of golf course. Good for a golfing break.
Negative: Hotel guests shouldn’t have to pay to use the spa facilities. No toiletries in room and had to ask for them. Side of bathtub peeling away. Toilet roll that kept on falling off the holder! No fridge in room. Shower power was feeble -assume it’s an electric shower.

Positive: The hallways are decorated with some beautiful original artworks. Soft bedding. The bar/breakfast area is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked. Lovely views in most directions. If you are a golfer, it’s a perfect spot to start and end the day.
Negative: Radiators in the hallway had clearly leaked at some point, leaving massive rusty stains on the carpet. Some signs of age/wear and tear in the rooms and lounge furniture. Booked for our family because the property was advertised as having a pool but, in reality, it’s a hydrotherapy pool that is a part of the spa and only for guests over 16. Apparently the staff have noticed guests from booking.com complaining about this so there’s obviously something they need to update on their listing. There was a wedding on our side of the hotel and the noise really travelled up to our room.
Summary: A convenient place to stay for a weekend in the area.

Positive: Breakfast was very good albeit costing £20 each per day. My room was ok and didn’t have air conditioning only a noisy potable tower fan. When I went to use the shower we had no water so not great when attending a wedding in an hours time.
Negative: No water for a shower. Nasty water stains in the hallway where the radiator has leaked. No air conditioning in the rooms. Expensive breakfast. Difficult to wheel my mother in law around in her wheelchair as there was big bumps joining the carpet and no lifts to one of the floors and outside was extremely hilly.
